Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I offer wholesale vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealership might ask for a similar vehicle. Before listing a vehicle on eBay, I personally road test each one so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained in this description is true to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Pre-bid inspections are welcomed and encouraged when possible. Vehicles are shown by appointment only so email me to set up a time if you are a serious buyer and would like to come see any vehicle in person. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are trade-ins from local dealers and are sold "as-is". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Please read the entire description and review all photos carefully before bidding or asking questions. Everything I know about this vehicle (both good and bad) is fully disclosed within this description. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1998 Volvo S70 GLT sedan. This Volvo is finished in brilliant silver with alloy wheels and black leather interior with wood trim. As you can see, this Volvo is a great looking car. I drove this car about 200 miles and didn't even wash it before taking these photos! I would rate the exterior of this Volvo as ABOVE AVERAGE. Please review all photos carefully. The clearcoat is faded on the spoiler. There is a scuff mark on the left side of the rear bumper and there is some road rash on the front end (lower lip and hood). Even so, this car is in remarkable condition for the miles. There are no major dents or scratches other than what I mentioned before. The alloy wheels look good and the tires are nearly new all around. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. I would rate the interior of this S70 to be ABOVE AVERAGE. The door panels are all clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout. The floor mats have some stains up front but. The headliner is clean and in tact. The black leather seats are clean, comfortable and show minimal wear. The wood trim looks good throughout and there is only one little plastic piece missing. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all appear to be working properly. The stereo system is the original Volvo unit and has a CD player up front. The stereo sounds good. The climate control system is fully automatic and boasts separate controls for the driver and passenger. The air conditioner blows ice cold air, too! The original owners manual is included. The trunk is clean and spacious. This car is equipped with the winter package which includes heated front seats. Also optional equippment included with this car is both front and rear fog lights. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running condition. The 2.4L turbocharged inline 5 starts right up and runs smoothly. During my road test, this Volvo was very impressive! I literally turned the key, put gas in it and took it on a 200+ mile trip and it drove very well. The turbocharged engine makes plenty of power and accellerates this car effortlessly. Out on the highway, she cruises nice and easy. At 80mph, there is no shaking or pulling. The engine keeps normal operating temperature and there were no warning lights on. The suspension and steering are both nice and tight. The brakes stop the car well. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts like it should. The timing belt was last done at 142k miles. This car was traded at a major, local, multi-franchise new car dealership and looks to have been well kept over the years. I buy and sell lots of Volvo's and I buy Volvo's on condition, not miles. I would rather have a clean 300k mile Volvo than a busted up 100k one. With these cars, service is everything. If someone didn't care about the rest of the car, chances are they didn't care about properly servicing their Volvo either. I am picky with the Volvo's I buy and have had great luck with them. The only thing I know this Volvo will need is an exhaust repair. You can hear a small leak in the exhaust which will probably be an inspection issue in most states. This car has good PA stickers through 2/2012. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
