I USUALLY HAVE OVER 100 PICTURES. Here is a 1969 Mercedes 300SEL 6.3. This is a California car with only 2 previous owners. The first owner had the car until 2007. Due to the crisis the first owner sold the car to a friend who never really drove the car and had the car seating for 4 years. I tried to start the car just to see if the engine will turn and turned just fine but I decided not to try several times since the gasoline inside the tank was old and it could cause problems if it traveled through the system. The second owner drove the car back in 2007 and from what he told me the car drove absolutely fine and all the airbags worked very well with very soft shifting transmission. He also told me it was extremely fast. The car has a very good exterior and the paint is above average. The body is very nice and I could call this close to perfect for the cars age.The chrome is in very good shape since the car was parked in the garage with a cover on it. The car is a very good project. The new owner will not need to put much in to it. Windows work, sunroof works, AC motor blows. The interior will need attention. The seats, headliner, wood, dash has a few cracks. The information I got from the owner was that the air bags were just fine when the car was running and he did not have any problems with it since the car was picked up at a shop when he bought it and the bill was very large therefore the 1st owner was forced to sell it. Basically a lot was done to the car when the second owner took over but unfortunately the car wasn’t driven much and now it needs attention again. The car has no rust under carriage or inside the trunk. It’s showing just a very small surface rust on the drivers fender on the bottom part behind the molding. This car will not need much to be a nice collectable item. The first owner put a whool mat inside the trunk to prevent moisture so the brown you see in pictures on the trunk floor is wool and not rust. The car is 100% rust free.
