Vehicle Detail
For Sale: 1984 Lincoln Continental Diesel. White, 4 door, all original. Currently not running, has a broken camshaft, however the engine still turns over (by hand). The turbo seems to be in great condition and has zero shaft play and spins freely as well. We purchased this car from an older gentleman who is a European car technician as well as an avid enthusiast. This was one of his favorite cars because of it's uniqueness and rarity. We contacted John Dancy, president of the Lincoln Mark 7 Club to inquire about the car and exactly just how many were made. He replied, "The Ford Motor Company purchased 3794 BMW M21D24 Turbo Diesel Engines and installed approximately half (1897) in the Continental and (1897) in the Mark VII." Although it is in non running condition, it is more than likely one of the few remaining Lincoln Continentals left in existence. All the power windows, door locks and power seats all work. We did in fact, locate a brand new camshaft on car-part dot com for $250. The air compressor for the suspension powers on and seems to level the car if the key is left on long enough. The frame appears rust free and the exhaust system also appears original. The car will roll freely to allow easy loading onto a car trailer or hauler. The doors are solid and do not appear to be rusted underneath and aside from the headliner sagging, the upholstery appears to be rip free and only in need of a bath. Again, there aren't many of these left and this one can be had for cheap, bid now to secure your piece of automotive history. This would be great for a restoration project or to simply use for parts. This car is conveniently located off Interstate 81 in Dublin, Va. Although this is local pickup, we will gladly meet the buyer's shipping company of choice to hand over the keys. This is a no reserve auction and the high bidder gets it. Please don't bid if you don't intend to buy, no tire kickers please. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding. Bidders with zero feedback contact us first before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Payment is expected no later than 4 days from auction close. No trade offers please. Questions can be directed via email thru Ebay or by calling Adam @ 540-three nine 2 - five 6 one nine. Again, the high bidder takes this one home, thanks for looking and good luck!
