1974 VW Super beetle 1600 cc engine 4 speed stick, 62,250 actual miles but something is wrong with the motor. we were driving and it started loosing power and stopped. after getting it back home it started right up. but drove only a couple of miles and same thing happened. oil level was OK. the engine may be usable but if you plan on needing a new motor you won't be disappointed. a new long block from Mid American motors is $1000. It had a new bigger muffler and has a 2 barrel carb. Brake are still up. the car looks good, needs a clean up.We have had this bug over 10 years. its has been in storage a little over 4 years. tires are 9 years old with 3000 miles on them. The tires have fake wide while walls. The car was painted in Dusty Rose (pink) base coat clear coat 9 years ago.(we still have paint code) still looks good. the rear apron has surface rust and a little rust by the rear window no rust through.. nice interior. solid pan and body. look at the pictures and I can send more if needed Thank You
