Vehicle Detail

Here is a clean end of era 3/4 Chevrolet Suburgan with highly desired rear barn doors. These trucks are already highly desired..and are only going to continue to grow in popularity and value the older they get! The truck sits on a newly installed Rough Country 6 inch lift with new shocks, new front springs, 4inch block and spring lift in the rear. The truck rides on 35-12.50 x 16.5 BFG all terrains that have approximately 90 percent tread left. MOTOR: Rebuilt TBI 350 with an additional 65 horses (up from the stock 190 to 255 horse). Rebuilt 4L60 overdrive transmission. Both have approximately 40,000 miles on them. I did not do this work. The gentlemen I bought this truck from in Truckee, Ca had this work done. I have no paperwork to confirm, however I will say this the man is honest and the truck runs with a lot of power and shifts like a dream. INTERIOR: 9/10...Yes it is that nice. The seats are near perfect, almost appear that they haven't been sat in. Has all three seats. The dash board is perfect, no fading, no cracking. The steering wheel looks like someone wore gloves when they drove it. Carpet is as clean as you could want or expect from a 20 year truck. The only negative is the headliner is beginning to sag in a couple of spots, however still has a long way to go before it gets in your way. (see pics) All elecric windows and door locks work flawlessly. Front A/C only from Factory and it blows cold! EXTERIOR: 8/10..Paint is original and looks near perfect on hood and most of truck. The only place the paint is starting to show its age is on the top of the rear barn doors. (see pics) The truck has minor blemishes throughout (typical wear for 20 years) but no means is there any significant dents or eye soars. The truck is straight with absolutely no rust anywhere. Chrome front and rear bumpers are beautiful, front grill is near perfect. Tow package with straight 4 light hookup. I just purchased a 4/7 tail that gives the truck the 7 way light hookup needed to tow anything these days. The autolock hubs have been replace with manual WARN hubs. Changed the fuel mileage to 12-14 MPG everywhere I go. With any 20 year old vehicle there are a couple of things to discuss. The first is the horn and interior lights won't work without blowing the fuse each time I replace it. Obviously a short or grounding issue, just never one I cared enough to find. Secondly when you use the auto lock button to lock all the doors, you physically have to pull the little black push knob out from the rear barn door handle and then manually unlock the back door with the key. Again another little electrical gremlin that I haven't bothered to deal with. The last thing is the rear ABS light flashes intermittently in the dash. Again a sensor maybe, or a grounding issue, not sure which. The truck stops on a dime and has new pads up front. I think that does it. Lastly I bought this truck a couple of months ago for a camping rig, but I came across a 1971 chevy K5 blazer that my wife fell in love with, so the burb has to go. I was also going to lower the truck to a 4 inch lift, so I purchased brand new Superlift 4inch front springs that I will include with the purchase of the truck. I feel like I have covered everything, but if you have some questions please feel free to contact me. I will not disclose my reserve before the end of the auction. It is realistic that is what I will say. This truck is rare and getting more rare. You won't win this auction or buy this truck for $1500 dollars...I can promise you that. This truck is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end this auction early if the truck sells before the end of the auction. I will ship this truck to the US and possibly Canada if it feels right. Finally; This truck is 20 years old and is not redone/restored or anything like that. It is stock (minus the lift), clean and reliable and in great condition relative to its age. If your bidding on this truck, I am assuming you have some knowledge and passion about a good old classis 3/4 ton suburban.
