Here is a 1979 GMC Sierra Grande K-15. A hard to find long wheel base stepside. Body has no major dents and not much rust for the year model. Paint is in decent shape. Body is all original to the best of my knowledge. It is 4 wheel drive with the full time transfer case still in it. The chain in the transfer case is loose but included in the sale of the vehicle is another 203 transfer that has been converted to part time. It will still run and drive without any problems with the old transfer case in it. The transmission is a turbo 350 that goes through all the gears good without any slipping. I believe that the transmission is a recent rebuild as the torque converter is bright blue and the housing is black. The motor is out of an 85 Chevy K-10 305. I rerung the motor with a new crank and clevite bearing, moly rings, new cam and lifters, double roller timing chain, new water pump, new fuel pump, new o-rings and stem seals in the heads, all felpro gaskets. It has a good working quadrajet carb and a non egr intake. Also it has a new set of mechanical sunpro gauges that just need to be wired in for lights. Has a new chrome rear step bumper and a receiver hitch. The floor in the bed is a piece of 1/4 inch diamond plate. It also has some led sidemakers on the back to keep it legal. Turn signals, brake lights, maker lights, and headlights all work great. The only other problem besides the transfer case is the gas tank sending unit. It will read but not right. Full is 1/4, half is 1/8, and empty is empty. It never really bothered me as long as when it said empty it was empty. It has about a hundred and fifty thousand miles on the body and about 500 miles on the motor. Runs and drives great. If you have any questions just let me know.
