1963 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertible. Clean Colorado title. PS and PB. Engine: 390 V8, auto. Engine has been run on a test stand and performed as designed. Excellent compression. Dual exhaust with aftermarket glass pack mufflers. This conv. is not ready for the road just yet. Some work is required to get it roadworthy. For example, amongst other things, the top has not yet been installed, but a new top is included. VERY little body work to get it paint ready. A previous owner adapted a GM alternator and the wiring has not been completed. Also, included is a new kit containing all the seat foam padding and covers. A few more items included with the sale.....factory (?) wire wheel covers, fender skirts (f'glass), body trim less the piece on the passenger door as seen in the photo. Note that the dark areas in the body are NOT rust. Simply areas where the paint topcoat has been removed and/or areas that were sprayed with non-matching rattle cans. This Galaxie is well worth the modest reserve in place. It is a very complete car with superb potential. Definitely not a “junk yard find”. We will assist loading onto your trailer or whatever. I am listing this for a friend who is completely computer illiterate. Location is a few miles south of I-80 in the very NE corner of Colorado. Twenty miles from the Nebraska state line.
