This is a 1999 Ford Escort SE that has served me well for quite a few years. Title is clear and can be transferred to the buyer. The vehicle was working until Tuesday, at which point it threw a rod according to Car-X. I decided to purchase a new vehicle rather than repair this one, but someone could replace or repair the motor and get it back into working condition, or just use it for parts. The alternator was replaced in March, and rear struts were replaced in the last few years, so both should be in pretty good shape. Most of the body and interior is in pretty decent shape as well as it has been garaged most of the life of the vehicle. There is some bumper damage and trunk lid is bent a little bit (but operates just fine) from a recent minor fender bender, I've tried to capture that in the photos. If you don't mind that it still drives great though. Tires will need to be replaced as they are in desperate need of repair if you want to repair it. I could sell this at a junk yard, just hate to do that to a car that has served me well that still seems in pretty decent shape. The winning buyer will need to arrange to pick up the vehicle from Springfield, IL. It was still moving last time I started it, but I would not drive it anywhere as it will usually die after running a little bit so you'll need to be prepared to tow it or just have it fixed at Car-X which is where it is at currently. They quoted $2190 for a used motor to get it running again, and then you'll want to get some tires. Good luck with the bidding!
