Sports Blue Mica 71 Malibu with Bright White painted on stripes. Clear coat overall. Recent restoration, she is a real head turner and alot of fun to drive. She goes to the local car shows, as well as weekend cruises. You get a thumbs up, a big smile or an occasional guy hanging out of a car punching the air when when they see you. Very quiet exhaust, stock cast iron manifolds and single exhaust to the rear. Frame on restoration, engine and head codes are 1971 numbers, could very well be the original 350. I drove the car home, pulled the engine and stripped/sealed/primed the exterior of it .New timing set and gaskets were installed and engine was painted to match the car. The intake is an Offenhauser, and the carb an Edelbrock. Summit chrome breather, oil pan and v/covers.HEI ignition. New radiator.Starts easy, cruises easy! Turbo 350 Trans professionally rebuilt and painted to match. The body was brought to a professional shop where it was stripped to bare metal . No rust in the rockers or cowl area, new cowl induction hood rear deck lid and right fender were installed.Two rust spots were cut out and new metal put in at the bottom of the rear window. Chevelles are famous for this! New door hinges and latches. I hate saggy rattling doors! All new weatherstripping, mouldings, etc. New bumpers and lights front and rear. Had the rear marker bezels chromed, I thought it looked kinda cool. All the new parts are from Ausley's Chevelles, Classic Industries and NPD. One wire chrome alternator is under the hood with an AC Delco sealed battery. Interior is all new white headliner, seats and door panels. Seat buns are new. Black carpet is correct loop pile, with " ChevelleAmerica's Supercar" floormats. Sony CD/MP3 with 4 crazy 6x9's across the package tray, just like we all had back in the day! New Grant steering wheel.Dome light works, speedo and gear indicator do not. The floor pans and trunk floor were solid, treated with POR 15. The trunkfloor is also covered with Herculiner. When you drive her, you drive and listen to music and NOTHING ELSE. No power steering, no power brakes. The brakes are still drum brakes. New windshield with the blue shading across the top, antenna built in. Rally wheels and trim rings, 15". New B.F. Goodrich tires. Fuel tank was removed, cleaned in and out, and new sending unit put in.
