Vehicle Detail

1956 Cadillac 75 Fleetwood Limousine ***** NO RESERVE ***** I am relisting my car due to another Ebayer who did not have the funds. He said he was selling a car so he can buy this one, then his didn't reach the amount that he won the bid for, this happened to me before and I really wish people wouldn't waste my time bidding if they cannot buy. So this is a 3day listing, BUY IT NOW $9650. This car MUST go. This is a rare 1956 Caddy that only about 1055 were produced. This caddy has the original 365 V8 automatic and has on the odometer 39,000 miles. I was told these are the original miles but not 100% sure. This caddy I purchased back in Jan. 2011 and have yet to drive the car on the road. I was told the paint is about 6 yrs old, it is white with a blue teal colored interior. The interior is in fair condition. The door panels in the front are in rough condition, you can easily use them as patterns but they are warped. The rear door panels are in much better condition. The drivers seat is a power seat, it is in good condition and the rear seat is in good condition also. The car has the factory jump seats and they are in good condition also. The carpet is ok but the headliner should be replaced. It has dry cracking in it. The car was in the south most of its life and the heat took a toll on some of the interior. The dash pad is spider cracking as you can see in the pictures. The car has factory radio and factory air for driver and rear passengers. The car hsa power brakes which you have to push the brake pedal hard to stop. I was told the brakes were fine, but the car sat outside for about 1 yr and a half before i bought it, so they may just need freed up some to get them working right. The car has power windows, not sure if they work or not, nor any of the other power options. I bought the car back in jan. and it sat in the garage since. I have moved it out of the garage a few times and start it often. My wife and I were in the process of adopting a child at the same time when i bought the car, and now the good news has come and the car must now go. So my intentions were originally to restore the car and rent it out for weddings in which a friend of mine does with his 57 caddy at $700 - $1500 per wedding, and rents his out for parade business advertising , proms etc. This caddy does NOT have a division window in it, but my buddy's 57 caddy did not either and i was going to use his idea for mine if i were to keep it. He took the jump seats in his caddy and left them in folded up, and then built a Oak Bar over the back of the drivers seat, and then took a sliding window from a pickup truck and built it in a oak frame that mounts to the bar, and then he wired it to electric, beautiful job he did. My caddy would look great that way. The body was redone at one time, some of it is starting to come thru but nothing major, the paint is still very good. The chrome can be redone for showing or just left alone as a driver car. The front bumper is the worst of the chrome with some heavy pitting. Now with all being said, I must make it clear to you, you are buying a car that needs some work, I have yet to drive it on the road other then a few times in driveway, this car will be sold AS-IS with NO WARRENTIES. The winning bidder MUST pay for all shipping costs and take care of the shipping. I will help the shipping company load the car if needed. Please email me about questions and your concerns and I will try to get back ASAP. This car does run each time i start it, and it will drive in driveway easily and onto a hauler, just as reminder brakes need adjustment to make safe to drive onto roads, but the car will stop to get loaded and unloaded at your place. I have seen very few 56 daddy limos ever go thru ebay and the ones that have were in rough condition and going for large money. This car is advertised locally and I have the right to end this auction if the car is sold. The winning bidder MUST pay a deposit of $500 at end of auction and MUST pay for the car in FULL within 7-10 business days after auction closes. I will accept payment via cashiers bank check, cash in person or via Pay Pal. The car WILL NOT be released until it is paid IN FULL. A shop manual for this car will come with it.
