Up for sale is a 2000 VW Jetta TDI that has been well maintained. I am the second owner of this car, which still gets 52MPG highway. The engine in the 2000 TDI actually gets better gas mileage than the new models. The following maintenance has been completed in the last 18 months: - 204k miles: Timing belt and water pump replaced - 205k miles: New Interstate battery - 207k miles: AC compressor replaced and AC system serviced - 221k miles: 4 new glow plugs Tires have more than 60% tread remaining. This car starts great in the winter and runs well. The knob for the mirror adjustment on the drivers side door broke, so I replaced the knob with an eye hook to adjust the mirrors. The cup holders in the dash do not work, and one hinge on the glovebox is broken. The glovebox still opens and closes normally. All of these items were in this condition when I purchased the car 4 years ago. There are no other maintenance items that I know of that need to be repaired. I am selling this car because I have purchased a newer TDI. The mileage will be slightly higher than shown in the listing as I am drving the car until I get the new one licensed. As you can see from the photos, there is normal wear. There are a couple areas that have surface rust on the fenders. I have tried to highlight these areas with close-ups.
