Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealership might ask for a similar vehicle. Before listing a vehicle on eBay, I personally road test each one so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Pre-bid inspections are encouraged whenever possible. Just email me and I will try to arrange a time for you to come to my storage facility to take a first hand look. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known issues are fully disclosed. Please read the entire description carefully and review all photos in detail before asking questions or placing a bid. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very nice 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. This great looking Jeep is presented in Pewter with black leather interior. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep as ABOVE AVERAGE. As you can see, this Grand Cherokee looks great from any angle! The Pewter paint has an excellent shine and there are no scratches or dents worth mentioning. The most notable thing about this Jeep is that it appears to not have any rust which is uncommon as these vehicles age. The tires all have good tread left. All of the glass and lenses are in tact. Please review the photos carefully. This is one sharp looking Grand Cherokee. I would also rate the interior of this Jeep as ABOVE AVERAGE. The door panels are all in tact and look good. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout and you get a complete set of floor mats. The leather seats are in great condition throughout and show almost no wear. Both front seats are power and function as they should. The power windows, locks and mirrors are also in proper working condition. The stereo system is the factory Infinity Gold that has been upgraded with a detachable face Sony CD player. The climate control system is working properly and the air conditioning is ice cold. There is a complete set of owners manuals in the glove box. This truck comes with two original Jeep keys as well as two remotes for the factory keyless entry system (one needs a battery, one works fine). The cargo area is spacious and clean. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Jeep. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good condition. This Grand Cherokee comes in its most desirable form (4.0L engine with Select-Trac 4WD). The famous inline six starts right up and runs smoothly. Occasionally, the accessory belt squeels at start up. I did not notice any leaks coming from the drivetrain. During my road test, this Jeep displayed good road manners. The oil pressure is good and the engine keeps a steady temperature even in this nasty hot weather we've been having. There were no warning lights on. The suspension and steering are both tight and responsive as they should be. When going strait down the highway, the steering wheel is pointing to the 11 o'clock position but it does not pull or fight you at all. In fact, her highway manners are superb. Cruising at 70-80 mph is effortless. The brakes stop this Jeep very well. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly. As I said earlier, this Jeep is equipped with Selec-Trac 4WD. I prefer this system over the Quadra-Trac because you can cruise around in 2WD. You can also select 4HI, 4LO or AWD which is perfect for the mix of weather we get in most parts of the country. I don't like Quadra-Trac because it is full time 4WD which you pay for in both fuel economy and decreased meneuverability (most Quadra-Trac Jeeps bind up in tight turns). I would drive this Jeep anywhere without a second thought. I buy and sell loads of Jeeps and this one gets pretty high marks in my book. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
