Vehicle Detail
A new title to replace the lost one will be issued after the three-year waiting period ends this Nov. 11. The registered owner (me at this point) would apply for new title after the waiting period ends. If you buy Vette, I have to provide a NOTARIZED bill of sale and release of interest, meaning you would then be the registered owner and would file for new title in the State of Washington. Beat up Collector Edition Corvette prime for the right person to bring her back to glory. The car runs and drives but needs a new interior, passenger side window and windshield. The electronics are not all hooked up. This car would need to be completely gone through if someone wanted to double its value. Just 6,759 were produced out of a 1982 total production of 25,407 Vettes. It was the first Corvette with a hatchback rear window. Other distinguishing features are a special color scheme, Collector Edition badges and special, exclusive aluminum wheels designed to look like the optional bolt-on wheels of the 1967 model. The T-tops are in great shape and provide that open air experience when removed. The body is in great shape though the paint has diminished significantly in some areas though the special highlight decals still show through. The engine may not be original because it doesn't appear to be the Crossfire fuel-injected one. However, it has plenty of power to whip this light fiberglas body. Parts for these Corvettes are readily available, including the Collector Edition seat covers and tan carpeting. I purchased the car several years ago and have no information on its prior owners or the mechanical history. I will require payment in full within seven days of the auction end with a $500 nonrefundable deposit due at sale. Shipping costs are entirely up to the buyer and I expect the car to be retrieved within 30 days of sale.
