Vehicle Detail
I have a barn find Suzuki RM125 up for sale. As it sits right now, it DOES NOT run. I'm selling simply because I have too many toys right now. This has been a work in progress over the last few years. I got this bike literally out of a barn where it had sat for nearly 20 years. At this point it needs: a carb (I have the original but its in rough shape), tires/tubes (I wouldn't doubt these are the tires that came on it from the factory in '79) and it's done. So far I've replaced the rings, gaskets, some wiring, added new handlebar, levers, cables (throttle, brake and clutch), throttle tube, grips, front and rear sprockets and a new chain. The paint was done about 3 years ago and is PPG Nissan Chrome Yellow covered in PPG Deltron DC3000 clearcoat. It's a basecoat/clearcoat job with a little bit of metalflake added in. In the sun, it really looks amazing. I added a close up of the paint so you can see it better. This is NOT a rattle can job. :o) Though not a true "original" paintjob, I was building this for fun, not vintage shows so I painted it this way in my shop. I bought most of the parts through Vintage Suzuki or used NOS parts I found online. At this point I simply don't have the time or desire to finish it off. After listing this on Craigslist and wading through dozens of emails asking the same things over and over, let me hit some Frequently Asked Questions: - Does it run? No. It needs the carb rebuilt or a new carb put on. I do have the old one including the airbox and new UNI filter in the bag. - Would you accept my (Xbox, PS3, baseball card collection, 3 wheeler) for trade? NO. This is a no-reserve auction and I will not accept trades per eBay's rules.- Can you deliver it to me? YES! I am willing to deliver within NY State via trailer for $.60 per mile from my house to yours as calculated by MapQuest.com Delivery arrangements can only be made on the weekend though. If you would like to calculate a rough estimate of how much it would cost you, go to MapQuest.com and get directions from Camden, NY to your home. It will show the mileage, multiply that by $.60 per mile and that will give you a close figure. Delivery will be made after a $200 deposit is made into my PayPal account before I leave.- Can I get other pictures or close ups? Absolutely. Though keep in mind I work all day (and well into the evening most nights) and the dirtbike is home so it my take a little while to get the pictures to you so please be patient. Please note: I will not entertain offers to sell early, don't ask.
