Only produced for 4 months, Chevrolet stopped production of the '42 Special Deluxe Coupe February 1, 1942 by order of the government to focus assembly lines on the war effort. There were few of these made during this war era and so this car is hard to find. This 'Volunteer Green' coupe is unrestored and original. The brake system and fuel system have been rebuilt, but other than that, the car is a total trip back in time! The car runs smoothly and drives as solid as a rock. The original spotlight is still intact. The three speed shifter on the column makes it fun to drive. The car has been garaged since purchased in 2007 from an estate auction. The car is in middle Georgia just off Interstate 75. Buyer is responsible for pickup of the vehicle. Deposit of $500 within 72 hours of auction end is required, with remainder due within 10 days of deposit.
