Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my 1974 Super Beetle. I have been the happy owner for 1 year. The second owner had it for 5 years driving very little and the original owner bought it in Maryland in 1974, moving to Florida with it. I have done everything mechanical that my Classic VW mechanic has recommended: Replaced all C.V. boots and crankshaft pulleys (5/27/2010) Installed new rear seatbelts (8/17/2010) Intalled new muffler assembly, idler arm bushings (8/17/2010) Replaced assembly belt (11/6/2010) Replaced steering universal and all four break hoses (11/6/2010) Installed complete new floor pans and undercoated new pans (1/8/2011) AND of course I get the oil changed (by my VW mechanic only) every 3 months per his recommendation (Castrol 40w). I only put premium (93 oct.) gas in her and she has NEVER failed me. She starts quick and runs GREAT. The most recent oil change and valve adjustment was on 7/12/2011. Things I haven't gotten to yet: Fix sunroof (over cranked but not leaking) Install headliner PAINT! When I took her to get estimated for this, bodyshop was impressed with how little rust, and practically no dents she has New running boards New seats. The seats are still original with original type covers. When I was in the back taking pictures noticed that the backseat has a hole through the original seat...She is 37 years old afterall. Horn works when it wants to and original radio was working until recently. No problems with windows (no chips/cracks in the glass) Crack in the black dashboard (typical) I have all the original books (manual) that came with the car and the original window sticker. This VW is pretty original that's why I loved her, no one had souped her up or changed her in anyway. The only thing that is not original on her are her new shinny floorpans.. I have all invoices and the initial recommendation list from my mechanic from the date of my purchasing the car. Odometer reads 17133, but that stopped a long time before I bought it, therefore the actual mileage is completely unknown. This car is a SEMI-automatic, that means there's no pesky clutch and only have to shift once (from 1st to 2nd gear) and she comes with her roof rack. All lights work, chrome is in great shape. No dents that I can see. Rust is very minimal, see pictures for all details. If you need bigger pictures or a specific picture of something just ask and I will e mail it to you. Car comes "as is" please ask any and all questions before bidding. Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy. I have approximately $4700 invested in this car and I have all receipts for everything that I have done. This auction costs money to put up. I do expect a "down payment" through paypal at auction end and expect the remainder of the funds in cash or bank cashier's check, held for 7 days at the least. I have the title and am ready to sign it over to the next lucky person who will make her even more beautiful than she is now. I do not ship, you will be responsible for getting her to your place and or coming to pick her up. .
