Relisting this Item due to non paying bidder Please bid if you truely want to be the new owner of this Sunroof Type III 1967 Sunroof Squareback in unbelievable condition, With Both Original California Black License Plates. A true pride of ownership is felt through out this whole Original survivor. . Some people call the 67 the best VW ever built due to its advancement of technology that year, first year 12 volt electrics dual circuit brake system with front disc brakes, 2 speed windshield wipers, reverse gear back up lights, headlight high beam switch located on the turn signal switch now, Emergency switch flashers, Front door interior lock knobs located on the top door edge instead of on the door panel The previous owner was a 75 year old German fellow who had owned the Squareback for the past 35 years when he bought it from the original owner . I believe there to be over $10,000 dollars worth of receipts that come with the car for the new owner including a reciept for the 1600cc Dual Port engine being rebuilt 5,000 miles ago by a German auto repair shop Continental Motors in San luis Obispo there is also many other reciepts for many other maintenance items and tune ups as well as new sunroof cables. The whole underside of the squareback was professionally undercoated including all inner fenderwells and the whole chassis The vehicles interior is in nice shape and was redone in the original style about 10 years ago when it had been repainted the same factory color over the original paint job. The current paint job shows its wear and tear from the past 10 years but has held up nicely except for some areas were the paint chipped off down to the primer, theres a few tiny little rust bubbles on the lower passenger fender which is very common on Sunroof type III's and the battery tray has been patched from battery acid many years ago there are also little door dings here and there but no bid dents or any signs of any collision damage. The sunroof works very smoothly and closes nice and tight The sunroof cover is a bit of a differnet shade of blue from when it got painted years ago from the body shop . The carpet inside the Squareback is in perfect shape and looks new still with a matching underdash storage panel and center console in the matching vinyl as the door panels that look like the most used part on the interior including the drivers bottom seat is showing some slight were without an holes. There are also 4 seat belts installed in the Sunroof Squareback . two up front and 2 in the rear seating area The dash pad remarkably has ZERO cracks in it. All three dash gauges work perfectly and all indicators in the gauges work like factory , Everything electrically in the car works perfect the turn signals turn off with the turn of the steering wheel the horn works with a push of the horn ring. all exterior lights work like they should interior lights, high beams, wipers , flashers, reverse lights, license plate light, brake light, running lights and the aftermarket ignition switch located on the dash instead of the steering column because there just not available. The engine was Rebuilt roughly 5,000 miles ago with a reciept and runs perfectly it recently just had the oil changed, valves adjusted and the stock dual carburetors adjusted and tuned with a receipt. The engine host all of the original type III tins and hard to find intake manifold lower tin covers and spark plug hole covers that are type III specific it also has it factory air cleaner and exhaust system and type III only fuel pump with german cloth braided fuel lines with a upgraded 009 distributor The suspension is 100% stock and has never been altered and drives and handles awesome over bumps dips and rough roads this Squareback just drives Awesome ! The transmission shifts good and no wierd noises or growls are heard the clutch was also just adjusted as well the tires are like new with 75% tread all around The brakes work good with stock disc brakes up front Over all this Sunroof Type III Squareback is in unbelievable solid shape and a true survivor a perfect driver with its numerous dings hear and there and chips and scratches on the hood, roof and passenger door see the pics I hate to get rid of it as I probably will never find another "Sunroof Model" this solid and Original A $500 deposit is due immediatley after the auction is over from the winning bidder and the remaining balance to be paid in full within three days of the auction ending This vehicle is available for inspection at anytime and there are no warranties, guarantees and the vehicle is sold in AS IS Condition Please don't bid if your not serious this is not a video game !
