Stock condition 1940 Chevrolet ½ ton pickup. A very nice example of an all steel American made pre-war workhorse. The 216ci Stovebolt 6 cylinder was rebuilt during the mid-90’s restoration. It has the original 4speed non-synchronized transmission.During the restoration the truck was disassembled, sandblasted, epoxy primered then the frame painted chassis black. All new brake lines, wheel cylinders and bearings were installed. The front end was rebuilt with new tie rod ends, bushings, ect. The engine was professionally rebuilt back to new specs. It was resleeved with new cylinders, new cam, pistons, rods, rings, valves, springs, gaskets ect.The body was restored with new windows, channel, rubber, glass, handles ect. The bed was completely redone with white ash and the original style metal strips. The body is painted close to original with the actual color being 1994 Chevrolet Indigo Blue. The fenders and running boards were painted gloss black.Certainly not perfect but looks, runs, and shows great. Though the restoration was completed some time ago it has been driven less than 1,500 miles since and always garaged.Successful bidder must deposit $500.00 with seller within 48 hrs. of auction close and the balance paid by bank wire transfer or certified check to seller.
