Vehicle Detail

Up for Auction is my 1985 Honda VF1000R Interceptor. I bought this bike used in 1995 in Boston, MA. I moved to Florida and had the title changed to that state when it was registered. The bike is NOT running. I put the bike away about 7 years ago when it had an electrical problem. I kept meaning to fix it but have way too many other projects going so it got pushed to the back of the garage. The bike is mostly complete but will need restoration. I have the service manual. The bike has a broken R side mirror from being in the garage somehow. The Oil check door was missing when I bought it. The fairing has scratches and nicks and a some cracks as it it older than 25 years. The fairing has been glassed by the previous owner and the front forks tree is bent but I drove it without repair for 2 years. The rear tail lights housing cover is fabricated out of metal as I could not locate a replacement when I was restoring the bike. This would be a good project for a V4 person who wants a VF1000R. I have a 1998 VFR that I use as a replacement. The seat is stock but I had Sergeants recover and refoam it in the late 90's and it's really very well done with the bump pad. If you are restoring a VF1000R this bike would make a great donor bike. I don't have the time to restore it and have put off selling it for years but I need the room. Bike is located at my house in Port Charlotte, Fl. and anyone who wants to come by for a look is welcome. I will not ship but will work with the buyer if possible. Please feel free to ask any questions and look at the pictures. I just uncovered it and rolled it out of the garage. I didn't wash it or Silicon the plastic or rubber so you can see what you are looking at realtime. I have put a low reserve on this for an almost complete bike. I could just part it out but again I don't want to spend all that time. Ask as many questions as you wish., ask away and if interested in bidding Good Luck.
