Today up for bid is a 1984 Toyota Corolla with a factory 1C diesel engine. It is coupled with a front wheel drive automatic transmission. This car is a very rare car and not many original Toyota diesel vehicles still exist. The problem is that the engine will not start. I bought the car a couple months ago with a leaking injection pump. The pump was replaced with a rebuilt pump from out west, I believe Oregon. The pump alone is worth over $300. The engine has many new parts. It has new piston rings, new head gasket, new timing belt, 4 BRAND NEW DENSO injectors, new rod bearings, and new glow plugs. I spent a lot of money in these parts but unfortunately I could not get it started. The car was owned by about 2 people prior to me in Ohio. The car currently has 181,784 miles. It does have A/C and power steering. Overall the body is in good condition for the age of the car. The interior of the car is very good condition the for its age. It even has its original floor mats. This car is an incredible fuel saver and a good bio-diesel candidate if someone could get it running. The car does smoke as if it wants to start but it does not start!
