For Sale by Owner - 2002 Volkswagen Cabrio GLX Convertible Great car - lots of fun - leather interior - new top - new tires - just passed inspection - mechanically sound! I purchased the car new in 2002 and transferred the title to my wife's name recently. No other owners. I know complete history and have copies of maintenance and repair slips for your review. I really don't want to sell this great car, but I'm moving to an apartment with only 1 parking space and can't keep this 2nd car. My loss - your gain. It was just inspected. My wife was going to drive it, and her safety is paramount, and I would not have her in a car that could possibly break down and leave her stranded. It is high-quality and you wouldn't know that it wasn't original to the car. It was replaced because neighborhood kids threw rocks through the rear window and broke it. The glass could not be replaced without replacing the entire top. So - new top!! Good stuff!!Front Break Rotors and PadsRear ShocksBattery was replaced in April 2009 So, here are the things that are not perfect about the car, but remember - this is a 9 year old car:Damaged front driver-side (my teenage foster child took the car out without permission and scraped it on the apartment building wall)Rims have some scratches from parking too close to the curb, but they still look goodRust spot on hood (see photo) - an auto detailer said that this could be touched upCup holder in rear is brokenAutomatic door locks do not work - use key (was not a big deal to me)Air Conditioning needs a charge of freon (I do this every summer - there is a slow leak that mechanics can not find)This car has NOT been in any accidents other than the scrape described above.
