Vehicle Detail

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealer might ask for a similar vehicle. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each one so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. If you would like to come look at any of my vehicles before bidding, just ask. I would be happy to arrange a time to meet you at my storage facility so you can see it with your own eyes first. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known defects are fully disclosed. Plesae read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a clean 1999 Ford Explorer Sport. This one is finished in a dark green and gray two tone with matching gray interior. I would rate the exterior of this Explorer as ABOVE AVERAGE. You can see in the pictures that it shines well from any angle. There is a very small amount of rust on the bottom of the tail gate but I didn't see any other rust which is impressive as these are known to rot out at the rear of the rocker panels. There are no major scratches or dents. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The tires are pretty worn and should be replaced. The finish on the wheels isn't perfect but this is a 12 year old truck. All in all...I'd say its in pretty good shape. I would rate the interior of this Explorer as AVERAGE. The door panels are both tight and in tact. The carpet is in good condition throughout. The seats are clean and comfortable all around and show no major wear. The recline lever for the drivers seat is broken. The power windows, locks, seat and mirrors all work properly. The stereo system is the original factory CD system and sounds great. The climate control is working but will need a new resistor clip. Currently the fan only works on high. The resistor clip is a little metal clip that allows the fan to operate at speeds other than full power. This is a cheap fix. The air conditioner does work and blows ice cold air. This Explorer comes with two keys and one remote. The original owners manual is in the glove box. The cargo area is clean and spacious...plus the seats easily fold down for more storage. There are separate controls for radio and climate control for the rear passengers. Also, this Explorer has the optional rear parking sensors. I don't know how they work or if they work but they are there... Mechanically, this truck seems to be in decent shape. This actually sat in a corner of my shop...forgotten...for the last four months. I parked it back in the corner because the truck was not sitting level and I didn't have time to mess with it. I decided to mess with it today. She started right up after all those months. The brakes were stuck from sitting but she crept out slowly and the brakes released. It would appear that someone was messing with the torsion bars on this. Adjusting the torsion bars is a cheap way to lift an Explorer. With the torsion bars back where they both should be, she sits nice and level again. Unfortunately, the damage to the tires was already done. The winning bidder will need to replace the tires and have an alignment done immediately. I had it out driving today for a while and she drove well. During my road test, the engine held proper temperature and excellent oil pressure. For a brief time, the "O/D off" light began flashing. It drove and shifted normally but I brought it back to my shop anyway. I hooked up my scan tool and there were no codes other than a "pending" oxygen sensor code. The brakes were also a little shaky which I don't recall being present when I first got her. Maybe she's just protesting for me letting her sit so long... The suspension and steering felt nice and tight. It cruised easily down the highway with a little tugging from the uneven wear on the tires from the hillbilly lift the last guy tried. You'll have to put a couple hundred bucks in her at least but she is a nice, clean truck. The miles are relatively low at 134k and is (in my opinion) worth spending a few bucks to get years of use out of her. Most of these trucks end up all beat up and rusted out. It's nice to see a clean one like this once in a while. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
