Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealership might ask for a similar vehicle. Before listing a vehilce on ebay, I personally road test it so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. If you would like to come see this vehicle in person, just ask. I would be happy to arrange a time to meet you at my warehouse so you can see it with your own two eyes. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known faults are fully disclosed. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a gorgeous 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo edition. This beatiful example is finished in black and has a mile deep shine from every angle. I would rate the exterior of this Jeep as EXCELLENT. I'm sure there are some scratches and imperfections here and there but this Jeep is in far better condition than most I come across. Another great thing about this Jeep is that I could not find any rust which is unusual for a Grand Cherokee. The wheels look to be in good condition and the tires have good tread all around. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. Jeeps this clean don't come around often. I knew I had to have it as soon as I saw it...and I paid dearly for it but I'd rather over pay for the right car than under pay for the wrong one. I sell lots of Grand Cherokee's and have been doing so for a while. I can only think of two other Grand Cherokees I've had that were this clean...ever. It has factory Jeep accessory vent guards...not the cheap Auto Zone ones. Someone took great care of this Jeep and it shows. The interior of this Jeep is very clean. I would rate the interior as ABOVE AVERAGE. Other than a small crack on the drivers door arm rest (which is common), there really isn't a bad thing to say about the interior. All of the door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout. The headliner is clean and in tact. All of the seats are in excellent condition, feel comfortable and show no wear. The cargo area is clean and spacious. The power windows, locks and mirrors are all in working order. This Jeep is equipped with factory remote entry and the system is working properly. The stereo system is all original and is working properly. The climate control system is working properly and the air conditioner blows ice cold air. This is just a nice, tight Jeep. Mechanically, this Jeep appears to be in good condition. It comes in my favorite configuration which is the 4.0L engine with the Select-Trac 4WD system. I prefer the Select-Trac over the Quadra-Trac because the full time 4WD system consumes excessive fuel and binds up in tight corners. The Select-Trac allows you to remain in 2WD for normal operation or switch to either 4hi or 4lo depending on the driving situation. I don't have to explain why I prefer the 4.0L strait six. She starts right up and runs smoothly and quietly. I saw no leaks present. During my road test, the engine held proper temperature and good oil pressure. There were no warning lights on. On bad roads, you can feel a little play in the front suspension (probably ball joints getting thin). Otherwise, her road manners are excellent and the suspension is tight. On the highway, she cruises easily and doesn't pull or shake. On a decent road, you can let go of the wheel at 60 for a scary amount of time. The brakes stop the Jeep well and show a minimal amount of pulsation under heavy braking. The steering is tight and responsive. There is a small hole in or around the muffler. It's not loud but may need fixed depending on your state inspection laws. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly through all the gears. The 4WD system works as it should and engages/disengages smoothly and quickly. If you're looking for a nice, solid used Jeep that is not "used up"...here you go. Take a good look at the pictures. Anyone would be proud to own this gorgeous Jeep. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
