Vehicle Detail
This is a fascinating little bug project. Sorry to those that had previously bid on this. Ebay pulled the listing due to technical issues on their end. I listed all of the pertinent info but the listing came up without all of that. You'll now notice that this info is included (or they'll pull it again). I don't know why they waited 6 days to pull it. Anyway, nothing has changed. thanx It was converted to electric professionally about a year ago by the previous owner. I am being transferred overseas so cannot finish it up. Let me list the basics here. It was running when I bought it and ran fine. I removed the batteries for another project. Before I knew I was being transferred. So now all of the projects must go. I am listing the batteries separately because they are not in the vehicle. If you want to save money you can buy both auctions and pick it all up together. If you want to pick up pieces as you go then buy the car now and the batteries later. Check my "other items". Buying this car as is has the benefit that it ran perfectly about 1 month ago. So it will take minor tinkering to get it going again. This is a great advantage that should not be overlooked. The conversion kit alone sells for $2300 here on ebay. The car is extra. The labor to install will cost you about $3000 or many of your hours. This conversion kit includes the D&D motor, Model #ES-15A-6-RW, Series Wound, Designed for 36/48/72 volt direct current, Manufacture Date on it is 12/22/10, 12 hp continuous, 45 hp peak. The motor controller is the AXE7245, Alltrax, 24-72 volts direct current, 450 amp, Date is 06/09/09 The battery charger is Italian made Zivan, Model NG1, 115 volt alternating current input, 72 volt direct current output. The system is designed to .... Charge fully overnight. Clutchless operation, you can change gears but don't use the clutch. Designed for speeds of 45 to 55 mph. Range averages 25-30 after motor and batteries wear in (break-in period). Range depends on driving habits but also the type of batteries and how many you install. This is set up for nine 8-volt batteries. You can make it whatever you want. Install twelve 6-volt batteries and get extended range and a bit more power. The adaptor plate, motor to transaxle, is included and mounted. All parts are mounted as this was a operational vehicle. Only inoperable due to the removal of the batteries and battery cables. The coupler to drive the transaxle from the motor. The motor controller is fully programmable and you can hook it to a laptop to monitor its performance. See their website. I have no cables or instructions on this. Throttle box, aka Pot Box, aka Potentiometer is installed and operates the Motor Controller, 0-5000 ohm. Vehicle just needs batteries and some battery cables. It ran perfectly and all the lights seemed to work. Got some issues with the body, upholstery and carpeting that are shown in the photos. Please look carefully and ask questions in advance.
