Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test it so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained in this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a great looking Jaguar XJ6 sedan. Finished in a medium beige over light tan leather interior, this Jag looks good from any angle. Of course, please expect some scratches and scuffs here and there as you would expect to find on any car of this age and miles. I would rate the exterior of this Jaguar as AVERAGE. There are two scratches on the right doors (probably can't see in the photos) and a few scuffs on the bumpers. The alloy wheels are in good shape and the tires have about half tread all around. The right rear tail light has a small crack in it and may need to be replaced for inspection depending on your state laws. A used one can be found right here on ebay for a reasonable price. All of the other glass and lenses are in tact. Again, this is a great looking older Jag that anyone should be proud to drive. I would rate the interior of this Jaguar as AVERAGE. The door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full throughout. The leather seats are comfortable and show minimal wear. Both front seats are power adjusted. The power windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof all work. As usual with XJ's, the cup holder needs a little help opening and closing. The headliner is clean and fully in tact. The stereo system is all stock and sounds very good. There is a CD changer in the trunk. The climate control works as it should and the air conditioner will freeze you out of the car. The trunk is clean and spacious. There are no known electrical issues with this Jag! Everything seems to be working nicely and properly. Mechanically, this Jaguar appears to be in excellent running condition. The big 4.0L inline six fires right up and runs smoothly. I saw no leaks to report. During my road test, the engine kept a steady and cool temperature and held good oil pressure. There were no warning lights on. The engine is as smooth as silk and rockets this Jag to highway speeds without breaking a sweat. On the highway, she cruises nice and easy. The brakes stop the car well and with minimal pulsation under hard braking. The steering is tight and responsive. The suspension seems in decent order. Her highway manners are excellent but you can feel a little bit of play in the front over pot holes or on very rough surfaces. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly. I am a huge fan of Jaguar XJ's. Having owned several, they have a certain feel about them that I can't quite put my finger on. Their looks have a lot to do with it. Sitting in the drivers seat looking down the long bulge in the center of the hood to see the running Jaguar at the nose definitely helps. What is more subtle about an English luxury sedan is that they are very powerfull and capable of ripping through a corner with the best, yet they feel completely composed and unrushed. Maybe it's a combination of all of it. The car looks aggressive and has the power to back it up but you feel like you should be drinking your coffee with your pinky up! What a car...
