If you have any other ideas of payment DON'T unless we have discussed them over the phone. 1979 Ford Ranchero GT Brougham. 1979 is the Last year of production for the Ford Ranchero. With the GT model only in production for a half year, roughly 12,000 of this model were actually produced, which makes this particular truck a popular and collectible vehicle. I purchased this car from an older man who bought the Ranchero in Florida and brought it up to New York in 2003 which explains the great shape it's in. It was stored in a garage for years. In fact when I purchased it there was still a Florida plate registered in 2003. The car is in genuinely in GREAT shape. From front to back the floors are not rotted (NO HOLES-NO ROT). It was actually one of the major reasons I bought the vehicle myself. The undercarriage in general is in great shape with only minor surface rust. The truck has been painted in the past and I could not tell you when. It is respectable paint, no award winner, but all-in-all decent. The most recognizable flaw with the paint is the clear on the top of the hood has come up in spots as well as a few other blemishes around the doors and roof but not as noticable. There is a small dent around the wheel well of the passenger front quarter panel, which could easily be taken out with some elbow grease and care (see picture). The graphics on the car aren't original and were placed on the vehicle whenever it was painted last. The interior is all original with exception to the Ford racing steering wheel, radio, and speakers. The dash is in excellent shape no cracks or scratches at all. All the GT gauges are in the vehicle and have not been altered or replaced and all the original knobs are present. The guage lighting and most of the gauges are not working, such as the speedometer, gas, temp, and oil pressure. When I recieved the vehicle they were working and have since stopped. I was told it was probably the ground and the speedometer cable. Also the Air contidion doesn't work. Not exactly sure what the issue is there. Carpet is in very good shape. The seats are all there other than roughly a 3 inch slash in the vinyl of the driver seat on the bolster. The plastics and trim on the Ranchero are all in good shape not missing a piece anywhere. There are scratches in the driver and passenger side windows. The engine is a 351M V8, original to this Ranchero and has never been changed from original other than the parts I put on. In the last two months I have done quite a bit of work to it. NEW PARTS- plugs, wires, distributor rotor, thermostat housing, vacuum switches, two new rear tires, break lines, starter, every fuse, every bulb, oil pan, oil pan gasket, rear-main, brake master cylinder, door speakers, some vacuum lines (not-all), wipers, new windshield and some other things i can't recall at this moment. Also has been recently detailed, buffed, and waxed. RUNS and DRIVES GREAT comes with a May 2011 (1 month old) New York state Inspection. Buyer responsible for vehicle pick-up and delivery. However if arranged I will help load vehicle. No warranty implied. All funds are due at time of pick-up or earlier.
