Vehicle Detail

Hello folks I have up for sale here in this auction a rare and hard find item. Its a 2001 CR500 and thats the last year that they made um folks there wont be anymore of um and this one is about as clean as you'll find anywhere. Ok so here we go you'll be getting, a beast of a bike these things are legends for their power. I bought the bike from Arizona I think I still have the original Arizona title, not sure I'll have to double check that one, so it was a desert bike and ever since I've owned it its been street raced and on asphault, I dont play in the dirt with this bad boy. As far as I know the engine is stock, I recently put a new set of Honda brand frictioners and floaters in the clutch and a new set of high pressure Barnett racing clutch springs, that was about $250. It also has a full FMF exhaust that was about another $350. I've removed all the airbox and rear side panels but I still have all the original parts if you wish to put it back that way. I have a highly modified air intake system, its basically a rubber hose run back to a K&N filter and has a outter wears filter over that. I also have a new Boyseen rad valve with carbon fiber reeds and a aftermarket racing head with 2 different compression domes. Neither of these parts are installed yet and both together cost me almost another $500 bucks. They will be forsale in a seperate auction unless the high bidder wants them because I will give him first dibs on um before I list... So you'll be getting a very clean CR500, the bike does need a jet kit because it has stock jets and I can tell the more I modify it the more it seems to hurt power, it really needs to be leaned out on top end thats the way it feels and thats what the pros say also, when you make the kind of mods I have you almost always have to go down a few jet sizes so Im sure thats needed. Since Ive owned it and as far as I know Im the second owner Ive always ran VP brand 110 octane racing gas mixed with Klotz oil. The only thing I know of thats wrong with this bike is on the front rim it has a slight roll in the lip where it beads up to the tire, it doesnt leak air or wobble or anything believe me Ive had it at well over 100 mph. The only other thing is and it was like this when I got it up where the gas cap screws on it has I think 3 cracks in the outter tank. It doesnt really matter because it has a outter and inner tank so no it doesnt leak gas, its been that way for years I think it was the dry climate of where it was in the desert caused it. Either way its a easy fix if it bothers you just spend $50-$100 and get a used tank off of ebay but it doesnt leak....Since this is a engine and alot can depend on your part oil ratios etc etc its being sold as is no returns, no exceptuions but trust me you'll look long and hard to find a nicer one with all the extras for anywhere near the price, if your close enough come take it for a test ride you'll see what I mean....Shipping is up to the buyer to arrange I think when I got it shipped here from Arizona it cost me about $600 for all the way across country but shipping is on the buyer to arrange and pay for I'll assist however I can. Or if you wish you can pay for and pick up in person to save shipping its totally up to you...Oh yeah I forgot to add that after I bought I also took off the stock handle bars and put on a set Pro Tapper CR Hi bars its been a few years I cant even remember what I paid for those, also the back shock is screwed all the way down because I ride it on asphault so I need my center gravity as low as possible. This can be easliy screwed back up to your desired hieght. I also can provide many more pics and info if your interested, any ?s just ask thanks...Lastly I'll only accept a $250 down payment through paypal because of the fees they charge for thier service lol...The rest of the balance is due within 7 days of auctions end either by cash in person, bank check, or some other means of payment that we can agree on...LASTLY I DO HAVE THE BIKE FOR SALE LOCALLY SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END MY AUCTION AT ANYTIME IF SOMEONE COMES UP WITH CASH MONEY AND WANTS TO MAKE A REASONABLE OFFER BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS, THANKSOn Jun-28-11 at 08:40:03 PDT, seller added the following information: By request I added a picture of the Pro Designs Cool Racing Head as you can see its new never used and comes with 2 different compression domes. Again this part & neither does the Boyseen Carbon Fiber Rad Valve come with the sale of the bike. The winning bidder will have have the first dibs on them, if they dont wish to purchase them seperatly then the two parts will be listed on ebay...Again just so its clear the racing head & rad valve are NOT included with the sale of the bike. Sorry for any confusion...
