Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 2005 Ford F-150. First, the mileage is correct, this truck has almost 291,000 Miles on it. I am the only owner, I purchased it new in 2005. Most of the miles on this truck are highway miles, I work in sales and have driven this vehicle all over the 4 states region (usually about 1K miles/week) calling on my customers. The engine and transmission are original and have never been out of the truck. In fact, other than routine maint, this truck has required very litte. The rear end was rebuilt by a local shop at about 150K, and it has had several coils replaced as well as the altenator and catalytic converters. The truck still runs very well and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere without doing anything to it. The A/C blows cold, the transmission shifts well, etc. That said, I am selling it because my company has a policy that requires we drive vehicles no older than 6 years old, with the 2012's hitting the lots, I am up against the limit and will be upgrading as soon as I sell this truck. The truck does have a few things wrong with it: The brake rotors are warped, you can tell when stopping hard The seats and carpet are worn and stained in a few places, I have tried to show the seats in pictures, they are covered with seal covers. The passenger side mirror was recently broken The truck has a few small dings, as well as a pretty good sized dent in the drivers side of the bed, that is also shown in the pictures It sounds like it has an exhaust leak. I have not looked too deeply at it, but I would think it is the donut gasket on the passengers side from the sound. The CD does not work, it will not eject, I hope you like John Denver, because that is what is stuck in the deck. This is actually the second CD player in this truck to have the same problem. after this one broke, I just listened to the radio unless I was in the mood for John Denver. As you will see in the pictures, the original tailgate is missing, I backed it into a tree and destroyed it, so I bought a replacement . The bed is also scratched up and dented, we live on a small farm and as such this truck has also done some occasional farm truck duty as well. You are welcome to come inspect this truck for youself at my home just South of Springfield, MO. I will be glad to assist in any way I reasonably can with pickup of the truck. For payment, I will accept cash or wire transfer, no checks the original title and lein release are in my possession.
