You are viewing a very straight 1989 2 door Bmw 325i sedan. This car has been in California all its life and is a completely rust free example with excellent lines and a very strong 2.5 litre inline 6 cylinder. The interior is near mint with a few very minor scuffs and some minute wear on the bolster of the drivers side seat. the electrics are all in proper working order including the power windows, power mirrors and the electric locking fuel filler. The windshield is as clear as cool water. The dash has absolutely no cracks or cuts and the carpet is very nice. The backseat looks as though no one ever sat upon it and the door cards are straight and free of scuffs and tears. The headliner is very nice and is free of sagging and has no cuts. The transmission is a 4 speed auto that shifts very smoothly with no "clunk" and has no interruptions when driving. The engine is very strong and starts right away every time. It is very willing for a car with high mileage and has no reservations about leaving its contemporaries behind when the need is there. It has passed smog with no issue and has a robust exhaust note that is emitted from a Bmw factory replacement system. Most of the E30 platform cars have had enough time out in the world to acquire some "modifications" during their tenure. This is not one of them. THIS CAR IS 100% STOCK. There are no cut airboxes, exhaust pipes, knockoff racing mods, cut springs or shortcuts. It has the 4 wheel disc brakes and when you press the proper pedal the 3 does quickly and effortlessly come to a smooth quiet stop with no pulling or dragging. In the last 5 months it has had the plugs, alternator, belts, cap, rotor, battery and terminal replaced. Now for the catch. The title is a salvage. This 3 was clipped in the front left fender and the insurance co called it a salvage. Whoever did the respray on the fender didn't do a dynamite job and for this car to be showroom the fender will need to be resprayed as it has chips. Its subtle but if it were resprayed the car would be happier. The radio has been taken (it needed an upgrade anyhow).The registration was up in may ($30). The ac is getting tired and needs a recharge. There is a leak coming from the power steering pump and the driveshaft has a bad u joint. For this reason my wife and I do not drive it as I do not want to damage anything else. The car is very drive-able and handles beautifully but will need the u joint to be replaced before I would use it comfortably. It also could use a very good detailing as it hasn't been buffed or waxed in 2 months and we have had a few days of rain. This car never fails at having people scratching their heads when I answer what year it is as most of the cars on the road here in San Diego are half its age and don't look nearly as beautiful.
