here is a 2004 ford ranger xl 2.3l 2wd truck with a white exterior and gray interior. condition is excellent used condition, with normal wear for a vehicle of this milage. cosmetically, the interior is excellent with very minor cracking on the passenger side seat vinyl and a small grease stain on the front of the passenger seat. as far as the exterior, the paint is still bright and solid with a few small superficial scuffs and scratches here and there, but nothing drastic. there are a few small rust spots here and there as well - mostly on the front bumper, rear bumper, areas of high wear like the door joints, and on the wheels. there is some significant rust on the bottom inside of the passenger side door (please see pictures), but it has been treated and is only visible when the door is open. mechanically the truck is in fantastic condition as i changed the oil regularly and babied the transmission, as did the original owner, and that's really all that needs to be done to keep these running forever. i have recently drivin it on several longer distance trips with not so much as a hick-up from the engine or transmission. and, it starts perfectly every time; the battery is still strong. no strange sounds at all during idle or normal operation. the only mechanical issue i can think of is that it is sometimes hard to put it in first gear from a dead stop, but throwing it into second gear first, then back to first gear works every time. though, there is no slipping or any other transmission issues to speak of. clutch has lots of life left. there are no leaks of any kind. a/c runs ice cold. the bed is covered with a "le bra" brand cover and coated with a rhino-lining type of liner. tires have about a year on them, but have very strong tread on them and lots of life left. the rear drum brakes have brand new shoes and the parking brake cable for the driver side drum was replaced with a new one; all these repairs were done by myself. the muffler was replaced several months ago at discount tire and brake in palatine, il. lastly, the passenger side tailgate cable is broken. this does not effect the use of the tailgate, though it will be replaced by the time the sale is completed. features are pretty sparse - manual windows and locks and no cruise control, steering wheel is non-adjustable, though there is a cd player. i am the second owner. i bought as a trade in from john amato ford in mukwonago, wi. (262.363.3085) i am located in the upown neighborhood of chicago and that is where the truck is stored, though the deal will be concluded in palatine, il, so there will be a variance in milage from that noted above. non-refundable down payment of 50 usd is due within 48 hours of the end of the auction via paypal; the remaining balance will be due in person at completion of sale via cash and/or money order... sorry no personal checks. i will be out of town for the 4th of july weekend, though just about any time after that works for me so as to complete the sale. please see pictures below for details. i got the car washed and cleaned the interior as best i could, though i was unable to clean the engine completely and the bed in time to get pictures taken. please note i will clean both as best possible before the sale is completed.
