Hello, I bought this car here on eBay a few months back, shipped it here, went through the engine and adjusted the solid lifter gaps, put in fresh gas , and adjusted and repaired the electric choke so it would start up and run. Boy does it ever! I intended to go through the front end as it seems to drift when driven on road and looking underneath I can see it really should have the front end went through and aligned , but some things have come up with a new property I just bought and I need to reinvest the money I spent on this car into a few needed things for business on property. When I had bought this car it was known that is was a work in progress and I fully knew and intended to play with this RAT ROD with my fiancée so she had a car to take to car shows as well, but this property just fell into my lap 2 years earlier than planned so I need cash. Before I got this car it had been purchased by a Pontiac nut up in West Virginia. In fact, if you do a search on Google you can see this exact car on site and you can see the time and money that went into it before I even got it. It really is a work in process, but everything is there . It has a very solid body. Although there is some rust, as you can see in pics its nothing a body guy can't fix during a weekend. Its not swiss cheese or a basket case. It does start and go down the road. it shifts great , although I had to re tighten the linkage on the transmission as it came off during shipping. The electric wires were replaced so the gauges work. The brakes work although they are manual. Three are some rust spots that will need to be fixed (as pictured), so look at them before you bid to be sure you want to tackle it. The frame is good as well. We purchased this because it was a period correct 60s rat rod . Almost all the parts on it were from 61 or earlier. Now that is rare!! I could part this out to make quite a bit off it , but I need the money fast for a few projects at new business location , and Id much rather see this go to a fellow rodder. I have title in hand that can be sent once payment is received. A few specs I haven't mentioned: The motor is not original. This was a straight eight , but was made into a rat rod with a 370 (1958) v 8, 1960 389 pontiac heads, and a 4 barrel 60 intake. the carb is a period correct 61 that works fine, however it may need adjusting . It starts right up. The Trans is a 1960 pontiac 4 speed automatic. It has a new seal kit on it. It has 4 new Firestone wide whitewalls on it. Neat look for it and one of the selling points when we bought the car.The Motor has headers only , no exhaust. So they will have to be added for a quieter sound . I was going to clean up headers and put on period correct cherry bombs, but didn't get to yet. it has a rebel 9 +3 wiring harness and the bulbs are now 12 volt. I wish I didn't have to sell the car , but the economy hasn't rebounded yet and I need to thin out collection to make things happen . Please email or call if you have questions.
