Vehicle Detail
Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next car or truck from one of my auctions could save you thousands over retail by eliminating most of the overhead associated with a retail dealership. Before listing a vehilce on ebay, I personally road test each one so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehilce based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. If you would like to come look at this vehicle before bidding, just ask. I would be happy to arrange a time to meet you at my storage facility so you can kick the tires all you want. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final amount of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known faults are fully disclosed. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for auction today is an unusually nice 1990 Volvo 740 wagon. As you can see...this Volvo is in exceptional condition. It shines brilliantly from any angle! Just look at the photos... There is hardly a scratch on her! I could find no rust either. All of the panels look nice and strait. All of the glass appears to be in tact. The tires have decent rubber left on them. This is truly an exceptional find! I normally go into great detail about the exterior but there really isn't a bad thing to say. This is the nicest 740 I have ever seen. It was sold new and serviced by a local Volvo dealer. It doesn't get any better than this... I would rate the interior of this Volvo as ABOVE AVERAGE. With the exception of a torn seem on the drivers seat, the interior is basically perfect. The seats are otherwise in excellent condition. All of the door panels are clean and in tact. The carpets are clean and full throughout. The sunroof operates properly. The power windows and locks all work. Both front seats are heated. The factory stereo is still in tact and working properly. The climate control works as it should but the a/c will need charged or serviced. Pride in ownership shows in every inch of this car. In the glove box are a complete set of original owners book including a maintainence book that has been religiously filled in and shows dealer service at regular intervals from new until the book ran out of room. The hatch struts are getting weak ($35 for a new pair). A car doesn't stay this clean in and out over 20+ years for no reason. It's obvious that this car was very well loved by its owner. Mechanically, this Volvo seems to run like a champ. The 2.3L engine starts up every time and runs nice and smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks. The suspension and steering feel nice and tight as they should. The brakes stop the car well and without pulsation in the pedal. During my road test, she behaved excellently and kept a normal operating temperature at all times. There were no warning lights on. This Volvo is PA inspected through April, 2012. The transmission engages and shifts as it should. Again, I really cannot come up with anything really bad to say about this car. Volvo's are known for their safety and longevity. When I buy a Volvo, I don't base my decision on the miles. Everything will wear out eventually but with Volvo's, I buy on condition. These cars can go 500k with proper service. I'd rather buy a clean one with 300k than a beat up one with 100k if that makes any sense... I am trying something new with this auction. I sell a lot of cars and constantly get emails asking for a "buy it now" price. I thought long and hard about it and here's what I came up with: I operate a very low overhead facility so I don't need to make a fortune on every car. My reserve and "buy it now" are both extremely reasonable and not negotiable. I can survive on less than most dealers, therefore I can make less per car. If you think my buy it now is fair, please use that option if you can abide by my payment terms. Once the super low reserve is met, the buy it now goes away and it will be sold to the highest bidder. Don't let a Volvo this nice get away. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
