PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: I HAVE NO TITLE AND NO REGISTRATION. PLEASE DON'T BE LIKE THE LAST PERSON WHO WON THIS AND DROVE TWO HOURS WITH A TRAILER AND THEN ASKED ME FOR A TITLE. I HAVE NO TITLE! THIS WILL BE EITHER A COMPLETE RESTORE WITH A GOOD STRONG FOUNDATION OR THE WINNER WILL PART THIS OUT. I have a 1971 Volvo 144 Sedan that I would like to go to a good home.As you can see, the hood and trunk are gone. I sold them, so the winner will have to find a trunk and a hood. I know a person who may have a trunk and a hood.I HAVE THE GRILLE and THE FRONT LIGHTS AND SIDE LIGHTS. The car has a solid body and all the glass is good. The interior is fair for the age .The floors are all good , the rockers are solid. There is very little rust on the car considering its age. The front seats are good, but the top of the back seat is separated as seen on many of these. The B20 engine starts with starting fluid but stalls promptly. I don't see any fuel in the fuel filter. I never registered this vehicle and my intent was to restore it myself, but time went by and this never happened. The paint is in pretty good shape. Here is what I determined the car will definitely need. A new muffler and pipe. Brakes are pretty rusty so the car will probably need new rotors, or at least have the rotors resurfaced.The front wheels do not move freely. You will need a new battery. You will need to tune the dual carbs. Probably an oil change . You will need to shampoo the interior. I live in a wooded area and there are sometimes small critters like chipmunks or mice getting into my cars. This is definitely a good restore vehicle. If you decide to part it out, you will make a couple thousand off of the parts alone. I do not have a title. I never got one from the previous owner. In Connecticut, you don't need a title for a car of this age. I am located in Colebrook Ct. This car will be trailered or towed at the owners expense. A 20% deposit will be required within 24 hours. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you buy this , you need to follow through please. the balance when you come to get it. I really want this restored, so all you vintage Volvo fans take notice and refer this to anyone who you might think will bring this back to roadworthy condition. Please email me with any questions.
