Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehilce through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealer might ask for a similar vehicle by eliminating most of the overhead expenses associated with a retail dealership and allowing you to name your own price. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each vehilce so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very clean 2000 Ford Contour SVT. The Special Vehicle Team edition of the Contour was only available for three years. The 2000 model was the final year that the SVT version was available and is also the rarest with a total production of 2,150 units for its final year. This example is finished in a gorgeous dark red over tan leather interior. This brilliant contrast in color between the interior and exterior gives this one a much more refined look rather than the typical "boy racer" look that most of the more common silver and black ones give off. As you can see from the photos, this car looks outstanding from any angle. While not perfect, you will find that the exterior of this car is in very good condition for a car of this age and miles. I would rate the exterior of this car as ABOVE AVERAGE. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The SVT specific wheels are in great condition. The matching Michellin tires are in good condition with about half tread remaining. Any way you cut it, this is a great looking car. I believe the Contour SVT is one of the most overlooked performance sedans of our time. As you open the drivers door, you are greeted by a warm tan leather interior. I would rate the interior of this car as ABOVE AVERAGE. The worst thing I could say is that the dash is peeling back at the defroster vent. It's not cracked or broken so it can probably be fixed with little effort if you know what you're doing. Otherwise, the interior is nearly perfect. The tan leather seats are comfortable and supportive and show absolutely no wear as you can see. The carpets are clean and full throughout the interior. The headliner is clean and in tact. The door panels are all clean and in tact. The sunroof does not open. The power windows, locks, mirrors and seat all work properly. The stereo is the factory CD sound system and sounds great. The climate control is working properly and the air conditioner blows ice cold. Pride in ownership shows throughout this car. It comes with two keys and two remotes for the original remote entry system. Mechanically, this Contour appears to be in good running condition. The SVT massaged Duratec V6 starts right up and runs smoothly. I have driven this car several times. I buy every one of these I can find. I believe this one is all stock. I checked because it runs so strong I thought there may have been some performance work done. This is the strongest SVT that I've ever driven. The engine revs smoothly and it loves to rev! Low end torque is impressive for a motor that revs so high. During the times I have driven this car, the engine held proper temperature and there were no warning lights on. This beauty drives as good as she looks! The clutch engages well and does not slip. The short throw shifter operates smoothly and precisely just like it should. Thanks in part to the close ratio 5 speed transmission, crack the throttle open and this car accellerates like a raped ape. On the highway, she drives strait as an arrow. The brakes stop the car quickly and without any pulsation in the pedal. The steering is tight and responsive which makes this car an easy car to drive aggressively through a corner. That is also thanks to the SVT designed suspension. While you can feel a wear in the bushings on city roads, this car takes corners with complete confidence. Between the performance tires, SVT suspension and perfect steering...driving this car through a corner is like driving a go-kart (but with three of your best friends). Driving one of these cars is more fun than a Barrel-O-Monkeys.
