Rebuilder 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Mega Cab Laramie with the Resistol package. Great project for the bodyman! These trucks as still bringing $36k plus (look at the other Resistols on Ebay), here is your chance to get one for much less. The insurance company paid out $39,750 on this truck. As can be seen by the pictures this truck will need some bodywork. The story as told by the original owner was this truck went down an embankment sans driver due to a slight oversight when hooking up to a trailer (as in not putting it in Park). It went through a bunch of trees on its way down, and ended up with a busted front axle at the bottom due to a center hit to the pumpkin on a rock. THE END RESULT IS PRETTY MUCH EVERY PANEL IS EITHER SCRATCHED AND/OR DENTED/DINGED. Most of the scratches are superficial and should buff out. Obviously some of the panels will either need repaired or replaced. I've tried to take pictures to show every angle on the body. In addition to the bodywork it will need the grille, drivers door mirror, windshield, drivers side front door glass, and rear slider installed (a BRAND NEW in the box OEM Mopar rear slider is included with the sale. Cost was $600 at the dealer!). Interior will need a thorough detailing. Leather on the driver's seat shows some wear and tear. There could be more, please look at the pictures. Roof has about 10 small hail dings thanks to a storm that come through 3 weeks ago, but I could not get the camera to pick them up. Now for the good part: the truck runs and drives great. The front axle was replaced with an entire unit out of 2007.5 Mega cab dually with almost identical mileage. (I have the VIN from the truck it was removed from). All control arms, sway bar links, etc. were swapped. The front cooling on the truck was also replaced including a NEW OEM Mopar radiator. According to the previous owner the truck was regularly maintained with oil changes every 4500 miles and the turbo unit was just replaced by the dealer under warranty less than 1000 miles ago. Original manuals and window sticker are still in the glove box. The only issue is the ABS light is on on the dash. I did replace both speed sensors when the axle was replaced so I'm not sure what the problem is. Also, the truck should be taken in for an alignment since the axle was replaced (pulls to the right). I've driven the truck approximately 250 miles since the repairs, and used it to take some scrap car bodies to the recycler with my two car hauler (bumper pull - truck does not appear to ever have had a 5th wheel installed). The truck will come with a Texas SALVAGE title. Please, know your states' laws regarding registering salvage titles before bidding! Truck is sold AS-IS, NO WARRANTY.
