You are bidding on a 1980 Honda CX500 that is dressed in a cafe racer style. it has very low miles and these are known to go a long time!! It has a custom seat (shaped specifically for this bike), new Clubman handlebars, new grips, new short stalk signals, good tires, new NGK plugs, POD air filters, and a new battery (mounted under the seat). The other electronics are also mounted under the seat to give this bike some very clean lines. The tank is the original tank that was smoothed out on the top to get rid of the tblack CX500 top gas cover) and painted with 2 stage PPG paint. The bike starts right up and sounds strong but still needs some tuning in the jetting department because of the POD air filters. It runs fine with some choke added. The petcock leaks a little in the "reserve" position and I'm sure it could use some fork seals. Other than that...this would make someone a great daily ride or a nostalgic weekend bike. The winning bidder will also get the original speedometer and tachometer. This bike has a clear California title and has not been registered since 2006. Please dont hesitate to ask any questions.
