~ This Is A "NO RESERVE" Auction ~ High Bidder At The End Wins It!!! I've had this '79 Chevy Scottsdale LWB 2WD Pickup Truck for about a year and have never offered it for sale until now. One day I noticed it in my neighbor's yard and quickly purchased it. I've had intentions of fixing a few of the places on the body, but just never have gotten around to it yet. Although, I have put a few new parts on it which include a New Exhaust, Brake Lines (partial), Top Radiator Hose, Air Filter and Starter Drive Bendix. It has a good strong battery and starts like new. The automatic choke works fine as does the factory A/C. Although, I did notice a little noise from the A/C pump when it is on, but nothing bad at all. All the guages work fine (including the gas gauge) along with all the interior and exterior lights. Even the horn still works. The engine holds great oil pressure, runs cool and charges fine. There's no valve smoke or any other smoking problems either. As far as I know, it still has the original 350 V8 engine with a four barrel carb and an automatic transmission which shifts great. It also has power steering and power front disc brakes with rear hubs. As for the mileage, 115K is supposed to be the actual mileage and there are no mileage discrepancies, brands or otherwise on the title. This classic Chevy pickup is super straight and exceptionally clean. As you can see in the photos it does have some rust issues, but not all that bad for the year and of course it has a few knicks, dings and/or scratches and it does have a small bullseye in the windshield, which I think was there when I got it, but it's never gotten any worse (please see photo). Underneath looks great except for some rust on the driver's & passenger's side frame mounts and some in the bed as well (please see photos). As for the body, it is very straight but does have some rust here and there (please see photos). The hood and tailgate are very solid and the interior looks great. I did notice some normal dash cracks as with the floor mat area also and on the driver side door armrest. This truck does have a spare tire, along with the jack and lug wrench. The tires are still halfway decent with less than 50% treadwear left, but I did notice some dry cracking between the treads. I'd probably put a new set on if planning on traveling a lot. The tires all hold air good with no problem of leaking off or broken belts. As much as I would love to keep this little red Chevy I need the money much more. I think the previous owner is around 75 years of age and is the second owner. He said he was selling it because he bought a new truck and he also said that this '79 Chevy drove better than his new one. Well, let me tell you... it really does run and drive excellent!
