1979 Lincoln Continental Towncar in extremely good condition for being completely unrestored and all original. I obtained this vehicle from the original owners son. Original owner was an oral surgeon and my wife works for his son who is an internal medicine doctor. The vehicle was stored for about 6 years until last fall when I took ownership. I replaced the battery, emptied fuel tank and changed out the fuel filter and she fired right up! 86k original miles. Car runs incredibly well. It was very well maintained by the original owner and I have only driven it a few hundred miles to look for any problems. Only problem I've found is some vibration at hwy speeds. I believe this is due to the age of the tires and they were flat most of the time in storage. Exterior is in really good shape except for scratches behind both front wheels caused by the tow dolly I used to get the car home. The car was just too large for the dolly and it scraped when turning. All the chrome and glass are in good shape. There is some minor dents and some aging on some of the chrome trim. Paint is in very good shape. A couple minor surface rust spots beginning near gas door and rear door jams. Wheels are missing 3 of the 4 center caps. Original wheels are in great shape otherwise. Interior is also in excellent shape. No tears in leather seats or dash. Car has original 8 track (it works) and also factory installed CB. Car is equipped with a very rare sunroof that works perfectly and does not leak at all. All power equipment works but occasionally having an issue with power door locks not locking. Cartier clock is not functioning. Also the trip odometer is not working. All the carpet is in great shape including the trunk. Original spare tire and tire changing equipment are in the trunk. This car runs and rides very well considering it's age and being completely untouched. I am putting a very low reserve on the vehicle but I believe it is worth considerably more. I just want the vehicle to end up with someone who can get some enjoyment out of it. Any questions please ask before bidding.
