Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1984 Ford Bronco II. Make no mistake about it, this is a project truck. We put a 5.0 fuel injected V-8 with an automatic overdrive transmission that came out of a Ford station wagon. The motor had just shy of 100,000 miles on it when it was removed from the previous car. It did run and I did drive it. The transmission shifted smoothly last time it was run. The engine has been sitting now for about 8 years, so it will most likely need to be rebuilt. I do not have a transfer case for this truck. I do not have a radiator. This vehicle was purchased in Georgia about 10 years ago and was moved to Michigan. So, there is very little rust on the body. The rear quarter panels appear to have rust, but it is only light surface rust that should sand right off. The rear quarters were stripped about 8 years ago and were sprayed with a couple of coats of primer, which of course is not completely waterproof. The Bronco has been stored inside of a closed barn for the past 8 years, so it has been well protected from the harsh Michigan climate. There is one small rust hole in the floor on the driver's side and one small hole in the rear cargo area. The bottoms of the doors are completely free of rust, as are the rockers. The front fenders are solid but do have some dents and dings. This would make a great truck to take to the woods or to take to the sand dunes once complete. I have a grill assembly, but it is broken. I do not have bumpers. The body has been removed from the frame and the frame has been completely stripped, sandblasted, primed and painted. A complete, new James Duff 3 inch lift suspension was installed on the truck. The suspension cost over $2,500 and has never seen the road. The suspension consists of 2 variable rate springs in the front with a 3 inch lift. The independent A-arm suspension is dropped by heavy duty brackets to achieve lift with stock steering geometry. 2 brand new James Duff shocks were installed in the front. I also have a brand new James Duff steering stabilizer for the front that has not been installed. The rear is lifted with additional leaves added to the rear springs. We also installed traction bars from James Duff on the rear springs to prevent wheel hop with the V-8. 2 brand new James Duff shocks were installed on the rear. All of the body mounts have been replaced with brand new urathane mounts and a 3 inch body lift installed (both from James Duff). The suspension alone is worth over twice the reserve on this truck!! I have many parts that will be included with this truck such as: - Engine parts - Many interior parts from a Eddie Bauer edition Bronco II - Many other miscellaneous odds and ends This was a project that was intended to be a high horsepower truck to take to the sand dunes. I had intended to do a complete restoration of this truck, starting with the frame. Obviously, the frame is as far as I got. The Bronco has been sitting in the barn for 8 years now and it is time for someone else to have some fun with it. I am letting this go for much less than what I have invested in it. I do not have a title for this truck, as the previous owner did not have one. I am told that it can be titled through the DMV once complete, I just never got to that point.:) I require a $200 downpayment within 2 days of auction close through Paypal. Full payment must be recieved within 7 days through Paypal.
