Vehicle Detail
Unbelievable Original- EXCELLENT condition 1989 Ford Mustang GT Convertible that is in a word, perfection. This vehicle has never seen snow and only been used at summer homes when out of the garage. Every option is in perfect working order. I am the 2nd owner of this beauty. The original owner only used it to drive to the ice cream stand. This car is completely unmolested and awesome. It has only been serviced by Ford. I put on a $4K dollar professional Ford Dealership paint job last year that is absolutley stunning. The car needs nothing other than to be driven. The Ford Fox body Mustang originally seen in 1979 and went through many revisions on its run to 1993 even modified in 1994. The 25th anniversary of the 1989 Mustang went by with little fanfare by Ford. Also for 1989 the 5.0 engine received a mass air flow meter. This 1989 Ford Mustang has a great color combination with a black exterior, gray interior and a black convertible top. Under the hood is the original numbers matching 5.0L V8 with an original automatic transmission shifting the gears. Optioned with AC, speed control, lumbar support, power locks, power windows, power top, power steering, power windows and AM/FM/Casette radio. The original turbine wheels with new radial tires still reside. With only 11,250 original miles this Mustang is a true collectors' piece. Buy a future collectable car today for an investment in the future. It will go fast... It took me a year to find this car because I'm a perfectionist. The next owner will be ecstatic with this purchase. The reason for the paint job was a matter of personal preference. If you're familiar with that year of Mustang, they had some that were painted as 2 tone colors. The color of this car when I purchased it was 2 tone gray. I bought it knowing I disliked that color scheme and consulted Ford directly on alternative options for that year. I had the car repainted by Kunes Country Ford in Delavan,WI. The color combo of the black/ gray was the most appealing to me and it worked out the best. There was no body defects, rust, abrasions, etc. that were needed to be covered up. Again, it was simply a matter of taste. Some people have responded to me saying that this has impacted value. The short answer is no, it hasn't. The 2 tone original paint was no where near as appealing as the car is now. This is the ONLY thing that was changed on the vehicle. I'm confident in saying that my car is probably the nicest, unmolested, original Fox body being sold on the web- right now. **Note well- Car is also being sold locally. Bid it, to win it.
