I bring you a 1978 Jeep DJ-5F, a postal jeep used by mail carriers up to the mid-80's, powered by the original AMC 232 inline 6. The transmission is a 727 TorqueFlite automatic. Fun little jeep and project. Work that has been done on the jeep while in my garage: a complete transmission rebuild (has 4 months and 4000 miles left on its warranty) New fuel tank, Rebuilt carburetor, new hood latches, new spark plugs, new fuel filters, air filter, oil change, some body filler, and a new paint job. All that's left is some body work and electrical. Engine runs fine. It's been my daily ride to work, 40 miles round trip. Top speed is probably 80 mph +, no problem at 65 - 70 mph. Car will come with service manual, free cans of body filler, primer, white paint, black paint, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and a small socket set. Title is free and clear, currently registered as an antique ride as all is original and I'm updating and restoring. Inspection stickers are good through July. Vehicle is sold as is. I do have the jeep listed locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Work that I can see in the future: Engine will need some work eventually, as it's 30 years old PO's wired the turn signals to switches in the dash for some reason, easy fixed but I've been driving as is with no problem. Speedometer works, but other gauges need to be rewired or replaced. General maintenance wrench turning.
