Relisting due to a BUM bidder. If you are a dreamer with no funds, DO NOT BID. If you have fewer than 5 positive feedback, contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. This is a terrific 1969 Ford. I drove it 300 miles last weekend with zero issues. You won't trailer it to an air conditioned car show, or fire it up every other Sunday for three hours at the Sonic, but it is a great, reliable, fun driver or weekend workhorse. I wanted reliability so I replaced a lot of working parts. Probably not for guys with hair gel and man sandals, but highest bidder wins! I listed it as A/C but it isn't hooked up. I have a new compressor uninstalled that will go with the truck. This is the real deal. Honest, authentic American construction. If you fly in, I'll meet you at the airport with the truck and title, and you can drive it home. I reserve the right to end the auction early, as the truck is for sale locally. Here are the details. Exterior: Very solid Texas truck. The only rust is between the cab and bed, up underneath the truck where you can't see it. Shown in pictures. The paint is a ten-footer, but looks good because the body is so straight. The hood has a couple dings in it that you see when driving, but don't know if you can see in the pics. The bed has a spray-on bed liner in it from a previous owner. Tailgate and release works great; doors open and close as they should; all glass is good; windows roll up and down as they should; wing windows open and close as they should. Tires are about 95% rear and 85% front. Equipped with a solid steel cattle guard, which looks to be same year. Not a piece of show chrome, but solid, chromed round bar. After-market rear bumper and receiver hitch. Mechanical: 360 motor with auto trans (C6, I believe). Factory Transmission Cooler Rebuilt Carburetor Electronic Ignition New Starter New Fuel Pump New High-Performance Coil New Water Pump New Alternator New Battery New Ignition Module NOTE: If I don't drive it for a few days, I need to pump the gas and it'll start on the 2nd or 3rd try. It fires up and runs/idles great, but I suspect there's a vacuum leak I haven't been able to find. Interior: Quality dash cover over the original dash New seat cover -- not original Detailed dash panel, all gauges and lights work except the interior light. There's a short so I took the bulb out. New door panels New stereo/CD player and new, high-quality indoor/outdoor speakers under the seat. I didn't want to cut the kick panels or new door panels so I went with these speaker. I have a factory radio insert that will go with the truck, in case you wanted to go back to the original radio Known Issues: The plastic turn-signal stop in the column must have broken a tab, because when I hit a slight bump the left turn signal will come on. I can't get a part before the auction ends, but will order it and have it sent to the winner's house. Power steering hose leaks very slowly. I replaced it, but the parts store couldn't seem to get it right so there's still a slight leak. So, is this a show truck? No. Could it be? Yes, if you wanted. The first bid meets the reserve price, so you could win it for substantially less than what it's worth. SPECIAL NOTE: I will do what I can to help with shipping, if you want to go that route. If the high bidder hits the $4200, I'll pay $200 toward the shipping fees. SPECIAL NOTE TWO: I am wanting a '60-'79 VW, preferably square back but would consider a notch or bug. Nothing "tricked out" or "bagged". Will also consider Volvo 122. If you have one and want to barter, send me a note. Thanks and good luck!
