Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each vehicle so I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Please read the entire description before bidding or asking questions. After reading this description, you pretty much know everything I know about this vehicle. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a very clean 1999 Lexus RX300 AWD. As you can see, this is a great looking truck! I would rate the exterior of this Lexus as ABOVE AVERAGE. Of course, there is a scratch or two on the rear bumper but that's about it. The two tone white and gray exterior looks great and has a great shine from any angle. All of the glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The mirror tint is in good shape on the rear windows. The wheels are in good shape and the tires are decent, too. This model is equipped with Xenon high intensity headlights, too! Just look at the photos! I didn't even wash it before I took the photographs! I would rate the interior of this RX as ABOVE AVERAGE. As you can see, the tan leather seats show almost no wear at all! The carpets are clean and full throughout and you also get a complete set of Lexus floor mats. The headliner is clean and in tact. The door panels are all clean and in tact. The wood trim is in good condition. The multi function screen is working properly and shows minimal wear on the console at the buttons. The Nakamichi stereo sounds fine and includes a radio and tape deck in the dash and a CD changer in the glove box. Pride in ownership shows throughout this Lexus. In addition to a complete set of owners books, you also get two master keys (w/remotes), one spare key, one valet key and the original wheel lock key. The automatic climate control works as it should and the air conditioning blows ice cold. This RX is equipped with Homelink integrated garage door openers. Both front seats are power operated and heated. This is a very comfortable SUV to drive in. It's easy to see why they are so popular. Mechanically, this Lexus appears to be in good running condition. The 3.0L engine starts up easily and runs smoothly and guietly. Driving this Lexus is a pleasure. Her road manners are very nice. Accelleration is easy thanks to the powerfull V6 engine. I saw no evidence of any leaks coming from this vehilce. During my road test, the engine held proper operating temperature. There is a check engine light on with a knock sensor code (PO325, PO330). I believe a new knock sensor is about $150. I am not sure on labor. I read on the Lexus forums that the knock sensors are located below the intake manifold if it's actually the sensors that need replaced. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts perfectly. The AWD seems to work beautifully. The steering is tight and responsive. The suspension feels pretty tight and there is no play in the front end. The brakes stop this truck very well and show absolutely no pulsation even under heavy braking.
