Up for auction today we have 1 1988 ford festiva! car seems to be in decent shape. Starts runs and drives. body is in decent shape, has a few dings dents and scratches. I purchased this car from the original owner, who put every one of the 217,000 miles on it. Interior is in great shape minus the driver seat having a tear and the rear seat was removed to improve fuel milage ( my 1993 festiva got approx 40-45 mpg mixed driving) vehicle was original white and was spray painted blue to mimic a mini cooper. my original plan was to have my local macco repaint it ( i was quoted 256 dollars as long as i paid cash) The only 2 things that need attention are #1 the alternator is no longer charging. so it needs to be replaced. the second issue is more of an annoyance, the shifter is sloppy. from what ive read there are bushings in it that are easily replaced and that will fix the problem. like i stated before, the vehicle starts perfect, drives perfect and stops perfect. i have drivin it around my development quite a bit, but havnt gone any real distance. just a few miles at a time. there is an after market radio cd player that is included with the sale of the car. vehicle also has an aftermaket tach with ford face plate on it. Tis is a no reserve auction so high bidder gets it.
