1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto. Alfa Romeo produced the "Roundtail" spider from 1966 to 1969. The spider was called that due to the sloped shape of the decklid which differntiated it from later models. Roundtail spiders have a most beautiful design which makes them among the most desirable everyday Alfa Romeo to own. They are from a period of Alfa manufacturing that represents the best of times, prior to major emission changes, yet benefiting from the many modern advances gained from the racing history of Alfa Romeo. Produced between 1966 and 1967 the Alfa Romeo Duetto was closely related to the Giulia range. The Duetto came with twin carburetors, an all aluminum engine and disc brakes. The body features bumpers that are set into the front and rear wings as well as a front grill set below the front bumper. This classic sports car is a joy to drive. Responsive and quick. The 1,570cc twin cam engine runs beautifully and the sound of an Alfa exhaust is second to none. This automible is a "driver" in very good condition, well maintained, and garage kept; however it is not a show car. There are some chips, paint flaws and paint aging. I have owned this automobile since 2002 and it is time to let someone else enjoy it and hopefully become an Alfa enthusiast as well. Please e-mail me with any questions you may have.
