Vehicle Detail

LOWERED BUY IT NOW AND RESERVE PRICE! You are looking at a 1929 ALL ORIGINAL HENRY FORD STEEL BODY Roadster except where noted. It started its life out as a Model A / Coupe and was professionally transformed into a Roadster. This rod gets compliments everywhere it goes and is a real head turner. Here is what you are getting: Body: Body of the vehicle is all original 1929 Ford steel. The floorboard and interior steel behind the seats I am sure was fabricated and replaced the older steel. The gentlemen I purchased the car from did a frame off rebuild on this car. The floorboard (underneath) of the roadster has been reinforced with 1”x1” steel supports and then rhino coated for superior strength and durability (see pictures). When you step into this rod the floor pan is ROCK SOLID! The body has been channeled down on the frame 1-1.5”. The dash obviously has aftermarket gauges (volt meter needs to be hooked up). The body is painted a flat black and has some scratches. The gentlemen that I purchased the vehicle from told me that the body had been sanded down to bare metal before it was painted. There are three VERY SMALL patches of pin hole type rust, two in the lower corner of the passenger door / rear panel and one on the driver’s side door (a 2”x3” patch and two 1”x2” patches would fix them). Chassis: This is a custom built 2”x4” boxed frame that has been painted with a super durable gloss black paint. It has a drive shaft loop installed and leaf spring suspension in the rear. The front suspension is a beautifully done Mustang II IFS. The attached pictures should speak for themselves. Front and rear wheels are American Racing Torque Thrust type aluminum rims. They are approximately 15x5 or 6 in the front and 15x10 in the rear. The rubber on all four corners is excellent with tons of tread left. Drivetrain: This light body Roadster is powered by a SBC 305 motor. It has mild cam, Edelbrock Performer intake and 600 CFM Edelbrock carb. The rod will get up and go with no problems. The valve covers and air cleaner are channeled aluminum and the filter is a tall K&N air filter. It also has plenty of chrome including a chrome alternator. The headers are aluminum and still look beautiful. The headers bolt up to about 3 feet of exhaust and flow straight into glass packs. The transmission is a Turbo 350 and I believe it has about 2000-2200 stall converter. The shifter is a B&M Pro stick shifter. I think the rear end is out of an S-10 and has about 3.30 gears. The mileage on the odometer says 2772.4, but I am uncertain if that mileage is accurate to the drive train. Miscellaneous: As you can see from my pictures the fuel cell (about 10 gallons) and the battery are mounted in the trunk. The roadster also has power brakes and a tilt wheel. I believe the radiator shell is off of a 32 Ford and I am not certain what year the headlights came from but I would guess early to mid 30’s. The only thing that is needed on the interior is the door panels (couple hundred dollar investment to match the seats I just had redone). This car is ROCK SOLID front to back, top to bottom. You will be hard pressed to find a better built 29 Ford on the road today. I have taken this rod on close to 100 mile round trip cruises with no problems. It has been a blast to own and rive, but I have too many other projects and something has to go. I also am selling this roadster locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early. There are no warranties with this vehicle and it is sold as is, where it is. Buyer will have to arrange all shipping. I will help load but the responsibility to get this vehicle shipped, including all costs will be the buyers. A $500 non-refundable deposit will be due within 48 hours of the end of the auction and the balance will be due within 7 calendar days from the end of the auction. I have a clear and clean New Mexico title. If you have any questions at all, please ask before bidding. I will do my very best to get them answered as quickly and as accurately as possible. Thanks and good luck bidding!
