Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each one so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this car based on the findings of my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. After reading this description, you will know everything I know about this vehicle. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a beautiful 1995 Mercedes-Benz E320. The 1995 model year represents the last of the good E-class cars in my opinion. If you've driven newer ones, you know exactly what I mean...they just feel cheap. This car is the last of an era in German engineering where less was more and simplicity ruled. Newer models are over engineered nightmares (in my humble opinion) that require a trust fund just to keep running properly. This example is finished in gorgeous smoke silver two tone with light gray interior. Other than a crack on the lower right chin spoiler (common with these) and a much smaller crack on the opposite corner of the bumper, this Mercedes looks to be in excellent cosmetic condition. The paint has a rich shine from front to back and top to bottom. I drove this car for about 50 miles and took these photos without even washing it! The wheels are in average condition. The front tires are pretty thin and should be replaced but the rears look to have around half tread left to them. The retracting antenna still works. These cars are getting hard to find in this condition any more. I would rate the interior of this E320 as EXCELLENT. As you open the drivers door, you are welcomed by an interior that looks as if it's never been used. The carpets are clean, full and great looking throughout. The headliner is clean and in tact. Every seat is in near mint condition as you can see. The leather is supple and comfortable as you would expect. The seats are very supportive and aren't even worn on the side bolsters. The door panels are clean and in tact. In addition to being remarkably clean, this E320 is fully optioned if memory serves me correctly. The power windows, sunroof, mirrors, seats (both) and central locking system all appear to be working properly. This car is equipped with both heated seats and factory integrated phone. All of the wood is in excellent condition throughout. The automatic climate control is working properly and the air conditioner will make your eyes water. The stereo is the original system which still sounds magnificent with no knob issues that this madel is known for. In addition to the tape player up front, there is a factory CD changer in the trunk. Pride in ownership shows in every single inch of this car. It even comes with a complete set of owners books. When I first saw this car, all I could say was "wow". I knew right away I had to have it. I am a huge Mercedes fan and examples like this just aren't around like they used to be. Mechanically, this Mercedes seems to be in good running condition. With a super low 80,405 miles on the clock, the famous 3.2L inline six cylinder engine should just be getting broken in! She starts right up and idles smoothly and quietly. I saw no evidence of any leaks. The engine makes great power which accellerates this car little effort. While driving this car, I observed that the engine temperature stayed at a normal level and it held excellent oil pressure. There were no warning lights on. The suspension is nice and tight. The steering is composed and responsive. There is a very slight pull to the right which I blame on the worn out front tires. At speed, there are no vibrations in the front end and the brakes stop the car well. The transmission engages smoothly and shifts like it should. There are no known issues. I would send my mother cross country in this car without a second thought. This great Mercedes is the last of an era when these cars were made to a standard, not a price.
