Up for auction is this beautiful 1983 Ford Mustang GLX Hatchback, I will try to be as honest and detailed as possible. The car was originally special ordered in Dallas in the beginning of 1983 with the car being delivered on 7/19/1983, making the car a late build 1983 Mustang. The wife that had ordered the car was tired of it and decided to let her husband take over the reigns with taking care of the car. He installed a New 140mph Ford Motorsport Speedometer, Carter AFB carburetor, Ford Motorsport underdrive pulleys on the crank/alt/w-pump, 1.6 Ford Motorsport roller rockers, and had the original radiator (that was bad) with a larger 3 Core aluminum unit. Luckily he kept all the original parts except the radiator which will come included with the car. The car also had a repaint about 15 years ago with the original color. Also included with the car is every single workshop manual for Ford Cars in 1983, the original owner ordered every manual from the back of the owners manual from Ford in the 1980s. Since I have owned the car I have replaced some small things that needed attention including the following; NOS Ford Hatch Striker bushingNOS Ford 5.0 Emblems on either sideBrand New (Under 200miles) tires, Falken Ziex 215/60/15's New headliner fabricBosch Wiper bladesWagner Thermoquiet Front brake pads with turned rotors I have a book that was included with the car with has documentation starting in 11-20-1996 on maintenance history and items replaced by the original owner. From 1996 to when I bought the car this winter the car has had only 20k put on it. Starting in 2000 the car has only had 4k put on it. The car runs great, starts up immediately in the cold or heat, transmission shifts good, brakes and clutch feel good. Never runs hot, always has good oil pressure. As for things that the car could use they are as follows, the A/C doesn't blow cold, everything is there probably has a small leak and needs charged, the cruise in inoperable, the dome light lense is MIA, the passenger side rocker needs reattached, and it is included with the car. Exterior condition is excellent, there is one small dent on the top on the driver side fender that didn't go through the paint is a small indentation. The paint shows really good but there are some small nicks a a couple fender wells, and one or two on the front and rear bumper covers. The glass is all in excellent condition with no chips or scratches, newer windshield as well. The chrome has a couple minor dings but nothing really noticeable. A couple pieces of the moulding need to be pressed back down on the edges, probably from the repaint. Interior condition is excellent as well, there are a couple small spots on the drivers bolsters, as well as the top edge of the rear seat, the dash pad has one or two really small spots. I have more pictures of all the parts included with the car, the original title stating the mileage is ACTUAL, pictures of the manuals, and can take pictures of anything you request, all you have to do is ask!
