Bofore listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each one so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this car based on the information gathered during my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed and I am not a mechanic. No vehicle is inspected beyond our road test. If you would like to see this or any vehicle in my inventory before bidding, just ask. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1997 Cadillac DeVille Concours Edition. This beautiful example is finished in stunning white diamond pearl over light parchment interior and the chrome wheels specific to the Concours package. With the exception of a scuff on the front bumper at the grill, the body of this DeVille is in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. It has been sitting outside for months and it still photographs well even without a wash! There are no other noteworthy imperfections in the finish and I could see no rust on the body. All of the glass and lenses are in tact. The Concours Edition chrome wheels are in excellent condition and the tires have good tread all around. Overall, this is a great looking car. I actually forgot I had this car... The interior of this Cadillac is in good condition. I would rate the interior as ABOVE AVERAGE. A broken glove box latch is the worst I can say about the inside. The seats are in excellent condition and show no signs of wear. The carpets are clean and full. This DeVille still smells like a new Cadillac! Both front seats are power operated and heated for comfort. All of the electronics appear to be in working order. The original stereo system sounds great and there is a CD changer in the trunk. The climate control is working properly and the air conditioning is ice cold. There are also steering wheel controls for both climate control and audio. The trunk is clean and spacious. The electronic trunk closer is working properly. Mechanically, this DeVille is in need of some help. The 4.6L Northstar engine starts right up and runs smoothly. I did notice that it overheats during highway driving. I took it to my mechanic to see what the cause may be. He didn't put a lot of time into it but he did say he thought it was the beginnings of a head gasket failure. It could be other things but he usually isn't wrong. It's a real shame. As memory serves me, this car drives like a dream. The transmission shifts great and the engine makes great power. I remember driving this on the highway at close to 100mph and it drove strait as an arrow. The car does start, run and drive. Whatever is wrong with it, it does run smoothly and there is no smoke. It can be driven locally but I would suggest bringing a trailer or dolly if you have to go more than an hour. I would guess that whatever is wrong with it will probably get worse with time...not better. For that reason, I will not allow this car to be test driven. I want to keep it in as good of shape as I can for the next owner. Like I said, it's a real shame... this is an absolutely stunning car to look at and drive.
