Vehicle Detail

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over what a retail dealer might ask for the same vehicle by eliminating most of the retail related overhead and letting you set your own price. Before listing a vehicle on ebay, I personally road test each one so that I can tell you first hand how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this vehicle based on information gathered from my road test. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Vehicles are not inspected beyond our road test. If you would like to see this or any vehicle in my inventory, just ask. I would be happy to set up a time to meet you at my storage facility. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. All vehicles are sold "as-is" and "as-traded". Unless specifically stated otherwise, I do not service or recondition any vehicle prior to sale. Any known faults are fully disclosed. Please read the entire description carefully before bidding or asking questions. Up for a NO RESERVE auction today is a 1996 Oldsmobile Aurora. The Aurora is a strikingly progressive vehicle and is the flagship of the modern Oldsmobile line. They are a roomy sports sedan that are a blast to drive. This one is finished in light blue with dark blue leather interior. I would rate the body of this Aurora as AVERAGE. There aren't really any major blemishes other than usual scratches and dings associated with a car of this age and miles. The glass and lenses appear to be in tact. The wheels look good and the tires have decent tread. Again, this car is in average exterior condition which is consistant with the age and miles of the car. The interior of this Oldsmobile is pretty clean. I would rate the interior as AVERAGE. The leather seats are supple and comfortable to drive in. The carpets are clean and the headliner is in good shape. These cars are just filled with buttons and features. The stereo system is factory and sounds great. There is a factory CD changer in the trunk. The climate control is working properly and the air conditioning is ice cold. To my knowledge, all of the power features (windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof) are all working properly. This car includes the original owners manual, two keys and one remote. The factory remote entry system is working properly. The trunk is spacious and clean. Mechanically, I would rate this Aurora as BELOW AVERAGE. The 4.0L V8 starts right up but runs roughly. There were several codes stored in the computer, one for each oxygen sensor and one other (forget exactly what). I did a lot of reading up and every one of these codes can be traced back to a vacum leak. The reading I did suggested the intake manifold gasket is the culprit although I have not taken anything apart to confirm. However, everything points to that. The front oxygen sensors may need replaced but the rear (down stream) sensors should be okay according to several forums I've read on people with the same problem. I think there was a Traction Control warning light, too. The car can be driven. I drove it about 40 miles with no issues. I haven't driven it in a month. I was going to fix it but I don't have the time. My loss is your gain. There could be things I am forgetting since I've not driven it in a while but that's all I can remember. It's stuck back in a corner of my warehouse. I started it yesterday and she fired right up. You may not want to drive it cross country but you should be able to drive it a reasonable distance without worries but it will definitely need immediate mechanical attention. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. I was actually gonna keep this car for myself. I think these cars are really cool.
